Harry was woken in the morning by another pillow thrown at him, although this time it was thrown by a wide-awake Hermione.

“Come on, you two!” Said Hermione firmly, “Get out of bed! Today’s the day we go back to Hogwarts!”

Harry and Ron both groaned simultaneously at her demands. Neither had gotten a good nights sleep, thanks to Harry’s dream.

“Bugger off ‘Mione,” Ron mumbled, “You’re not in charge of us until we’re at school, you do know that, right?”

“RONALD WEASLEY! DON’T YOU DARE TELL ME TO BUGGER OFF!” Screeched Hermione. “And I’ll have you two know that not only is it my responsibility as Head Girl to make sure all students make it to school, but I can’t be late!” Shooting them one last glare, she said, “Besides, Ron, it was your mother who told me to wake you up!” At that she turned on her heel and stormed out of the room.

“Blimey,” Came Ron’s voice from under a mountain of blankets, “She sounds more like my mum every day!”

Harry laughed in reply, and quickly got ready, not wanting to deal with an angry Hermione again this early in the morning. Remembering his dream once again, he quickly dismissed it as a random dream. Harry just refused to believe he was in love with Draco.  He ran down the stairs and half cheerfully, half groggily greeted everyone good morning. Hermione, Ginny, and Mr. and Mrs. Weasley sat around the kitchen table eating breakfast. Harry joined them, joining in the conversation about school.

“I expect things are going to be quite a bit different this year,” said Mr. Weasley, “I heard they were changing security since there are still Death Eaters on the loose. Not to mention a few new surprises.” He said with a knowing wink.

“Daaad!” Ginny exclaimed, “If you know of all these things, can’t you at least tell us what some of them are?”

“Now where would the surprise be if I told you about everything?” Chuckled Mr. Weasley.

Groaning in frustration, Ginny finished eating her breakfast. Looking up from her food a while later, after a period of silence, Mrs. Weasley asked “Hermione dear, didn’t you wake Ron up half an hour ago?

Hermione’s face instantly leapt from comfortable to annoyed. Whipping around, she marched up the stairs, yelling “RONALD!” along the way. Feeling sorry for whatever Ron was about to go through, Harry turned to Ginny.

“So, what are you planning on doing this year?” He asked her. They had broken up a few months after the war, realising that they just weren’t meant for each other.

“Well I plan to abuse my powers of being a prefect, sneak around wherever I like,” she said with a smirk. “Just don’t tell Hermione I said that, she’d skin me alive.”

Harry laughed and nodded in understanding. Just then, Hermione came downstairs dragging a very disgruntled looking Ron behind her.

“...and if you EVER fall asleep again when we’re in a hurry, so help me god…”

“Morning Ron.” Ginny said, trying saving Ron from what was sure to be an 80 year long lecture on punctuality.

“Morning, Gin.” He muttered, pouring himself a bowl of cereal. Unfortunately for him, he tripped over Crookshanks on his way to the table, and cereal landed all over a suddenly angry looking Ginny and Mrs. Weasley.

“RONALD!” They shouted in unison. Harry just shook his head at his friend’s misfortune. It was going to be a long morning.

Three hours later saw them rushing through King’s Cross station, heading to platform 9 ¾. The whole ride to the station had been filled with lectures from Mrs. Weasley about being careful and being punctual. Needless to say, both Hermione and Ginny ignored Ron,who sat in the back, avoiding Harry’s attempts at conversation.

Reaching the platform, they bolted through the barrier between platforms 9 and 10, just as the clock overhead read 10:59. Rushing to the door of the Hogwarts express, they threw their belongings on board, and giving last minute kisses to the Weasley parents, dashed onto the train just as it began pulling away from the station.

“That was lucky.” Stated Ron.

“No, that was not lucky! That was your fault!” Yelled Hermione, clearly still blaming Ron for making everyone late.

Harry and Ginny gave each other a knowing look, and gathered their trunks to search for an unoccupied compartment. Sliding into the first one they saw, they pushed their trunks onto the overhead racks. Just then, Ron and Hermione walked into the compartment, each clearly still cross with the other. Barely pausing at the entrance, Hermione turned to Harry and Ginny.

“Come on Ginny, we need to go to the prefect and head students meeting. Harry, could you walk us there?”

“Of course.” Harry replied, needing to walk around a bit more to relax after their mad dash. On the way to the carriage where the girls were heading, Hermione started ranting to Ginny about how terrible Ron was, while pretty much ignoring Harry.

“...and could you believe him?? Telling us we were lucky to make the train when it was his fault we were late in the first place! And falling back asleep this morning, before dumping his cereal on you and your poor mum…”

Harry was walking with his head down, trying not to listen to Hermione’s rant, wondering why she had asked him to come if she was just going to rant to Ginny. Suddenly, he bumped into someone.”Sorry.” He muttered, then looked up to see who he had bumped into. With a small gasp, he realised it was none other than Draco Malfoy. Both boys stared at each other, blushing slightly as they both recalled their dreams.

“Watch it, Potter.” Draco said quietly, and walked past the group.

Harry stared after the blonde as he left. Hermione cleared her throat, and Harry whipped around to see a confused Ginny and Hermione.

“Harry, what was that about?” Ventured Hermione.

“Nothing, just nothing.” Harry said. The girls continued staring at Harry for quite some time, not believing him. “Well come on then!” He said, breaking the silence. “I thought we were heading to your meeting?”

“Of course.” Hermione said, and Ginny nodded, both deep in thought over the bizarre exchange they had just witnessed.

After dropping the girls off at their compartment, Harry wandered around the train, thinking of the brief meeting himself. He thought of how the blonde had stared at him with his beautiful silver eyes, his lovely lips seeming to beckon him…

Harry blinked in shock, realising just what it was he was thinking about. He was so unsure of himself suddenly. That dream was just an odd dream, right? Or was it something more?
