Tony was the first to wake the next morning. At first he was confused. Why was he in his lab? When did he fall asleep? His questions disappeared from his mind as soon as he looked over to see Peter curled up in an office chair, sound asleep. The child looked so small, so fragile. Tony rolled his chair over just a little to be closer to his kid. He ran his fingers through the small boys curls. His earlier questions were replaces by new ones. Why was Peter down here? Was he ok? Did he need him? Why is it that the one time he actually sleeps is the one time Peter comes down to see him? His thoughts were interrupted by the creaking of the chair next to him as Peter began to wake up. "Good morning kid" Tony greeted with a laugh as he watched the young kid adjust to the light that no one bothered to turn off the night before.

"Morning." Peters voice was unclear and his tone was a little grumpy. His body was sore from being scrunched up in a chair for hours. "What time is it?" He asked, still rubbing his eyes. Tony checked his watch.

"11:34" The older man said with a hint of surprise in his voice. He hadn't slept that long in years. Some of what Bruce gave him must have still been in his system. Plus Nat had taken away the coffee maker. Sure he could have taken it back from her or simply ordered coffee but he had to admit that she scared him sometimes and he knew it was best not to go against her wishes. As if the spy could sense that someone was thinking about her, the elevator opened and out came not only Nat but Steve as well.

"I see you two are finally awake" Nat observed with a smirk. "Cap and I were going to go get a late breakfast. Would you care to join us?" As she spoke she came over and wrapped her arms around Peter over the back of the chair. At the same time, Steve made his way to behind Tonys chair, placing a hand on the other mans shoulder with a firm grip. This action was then quickly reversed as Steve caught the eyes of Peters slightly confused expression.  The young boy laughed to himself but the joy instantly faded at the thought of going out to eat. Before he could protest, Tony had answered for the both of them.

"Yeah sure. I'm starving" the older man exclaimed while standing from his chair and stretching out his limbs. Soon the group was in the car, Steve driving them to a small dinner he really liked. The whole way there was filled with dread and anxiety for the young spider but he did his best to hid it with his signature smiley, bubbly persona.
