You didn't remember much of anything else. Just the sight of Kylo's hand, something about Supreme Leaders, and everything else falling dark.
That was until you woke up in a stiffened hospital bed, vision blurry and arms extremely weak. You finally came to, shakingly lifting up your hand to rub your bruised noggin. "Kriff." You cursed, wincing in pain. You felt wires sling around with you, and a panicked hand bringing your arm back down. "Please try to limit your movem- She can do what she wants." A doctor's voice protruded your ears, but a much more familiar voice cut into his statement.
You blinked a few times, looking to your right to see Kylo blocking a First Order doctor from touching you too hard. He noticed your open eyes, his mask on to block you from seeing his sweet face. "Leave." Kylo commanded the doctor. The man hesitated, but reluctantly left the room.
Kylo immediately threw off his mask, letting it fall to the floor. Your name ringing from his voice. "Are you okay? Do you feel okay?" He asked, the anxiety in his tone being all too obvious.
"Kylo, I'm-I'm fine." Okay, your throat was really dry, but after that, the only thing you genuinely felt was the millions of needles and cords in your skin. Plus your stitched-up gash on your side. "You need water." He pointed out, handing you a glass from the nightstand.
You accepted the glass, taking a sip. "How long have I been out?" You asked, turning back to face Kylo while downing half of the cup of water.
"Two days. The doctors were nervous you had entered comatose, but I still felt you." He began, resting his hand on your free one. "Your presence is suffocating, love."
You stopped in your tracks, your own eyes shooting up to his own. This was new. Kylo was acting as if he had lost you forever. "Kylo, I'm right here." You whispered, guiding his hand up towards your bruised cheek. "I'm not going anywhere."
Kylo straightened his lips, as if to process your words with a grain of salt. "Promise me." He sighed, circling his finger on your skin. "My empress."
You froze. Hold on, empress? Memories came flooding back, your head swirling in pain. You remembered now, he had asked you to be his empress. You never answered, but you could feel yourself losing blood fast. You stumbled over to him, and you had collapsed in his arms. Had he taken that as a yes? Oh boy.
You didn't respond, you just smiled. You forgot he even had asked you to promise you wouldn't leave. You just leaned into his touch.
"I simply cannot wait. We can bleed out your kyber crystal and turn it red. I can put you in control of a fleet, I can-Kylo." You interrupted his ramble. His eyes looked up to yours. He was crouched down at your bedside, chin almost resting on the mattress. How were you to bring this up with him? Okay, we can start out simple maybe.
"I would wish for my saber to remain white, okay?" You asked. "That still belongs to me, to my planet." You continued on. "It would be more than unethical to do such a thing to it."
Kylo didn't know how to answer. Instead, he sighed. "In time." He compromised.
You hesitated yourself, but eventually nodded. "In time."
The next string of minutes was spent breathing, both of you lost in thought. Kylo finally leaned up, connecting you in a gentle kiss. That was new. Kylo had never really premeditatedly planned to kiss you besides that one night in his quarters. Oh, but the feeling of his lips felt like ambrosia itself. A god gifting light to a simple mortal. You turned to honey around this man. Now your planet, Zelda, everything about it was the last thing on your mind.
Kylo parted this kiss, a hint of a smile traced on his lips. "I will instruct the doctors to release you shortly. They said everything was fine with you." He added on, ghosting his hand over yours.
You nodded. "Thank you. I don't exactly like feeling like a droid." You joked, waving around a few of your cords with a giggle.
He nodded, standing up. "Come to my quarters afterward, will you?" He asked, picking up his helmet.
You smiled. "It's the only place I can go." You teased.
He was silent, but a smirk lingered around his features. "We'll see." He commented, snapping his helmet in place. Without another word he left, walking out the door in all his dark glory.
Right as the door opened and he left, a nervous doctor entered, beginning to help unhook you from everything. "Apologies Mrs. Ren." The doctor squeaked, pulling out a needle from your arm.
"..Mrs. Ren?" You asked, furrowing your eyebrows.
"Yes, that's what I have been instructed to refer to you as." He explained, taking off more gauze and replacing it with a fresh roll.
You laughed in disbelief, shaking your head. "Thank you, sir, but I'm not married." You assured him. "Not to him."
The doctor was silent, as if he not dared to argue with you. Great, everyone went from looking down upon you to being terrified of you.
After an hour had passed of evaluations and making sure you were all in check you were finally allowed to leave. You thanked the doctor, and he mentioned you would need to return in two weeks to have your stitched removed. You nodded, trailing out the door and immediately scanning your surroundings. You were at the very end of the medbay, guessing that Kylo liked to make a scene when he went to come and check on you.
You slid out of the medbay, trekking down the many monochrome halls down to Ren's quarters. As you walked along, you noticed Stormtroopers now kept their distance from you. You didn't understand, how did Kylo make all these members of The First Order suddenly terrified of you? You definitely needed to have another talk with him about this.
Kylo's quarters finally came into view at the very end of the hallway. You paused for a moment with a sigh, stepping near the sensor to let it open. Inside sat Kylo on the bed with his book, but when he noticed you he immediately stood up, rushing over. He didn't say anything, but enveloped you into a hug.
You paused, was this man going insane? He was so loving and soft now after the throne room. Perhaps since he was free of Snoke's control, he finally felt as if he could show a little emotion? You shrugged it off, slowly returning the hug. You were now just glad Kylo wasn't tricking you into thinking he was going to murder you.
"I thought I lost you." Kylo whispered, reaching up to rake his fingers through your hair. It was surprisingly not matted, but you guessed Kylo brushed it while you were out. "Never leave." Kylo added, kissing your neck softly.
You sighed. "Alright, I won't." You agreed, but it's not like you dared to leave anyway. He already said he would kill you the next time you tried without success.
Kylo began to trail kisses down your neck, holding onto your waist. Okay, you knew where this was going. "I missed you." Kylo muttered, biting down on the web where your neck met your shoulders. You whimpered, reaching up to wrap your arms around Kylo's neck. "I missed you too." You whispered.
Kylo lead you over to the bed, about to throw you down-
An alarm began to blare. Red lights began to flash back and forth within Kylo's quarters and out inside of the hallways.
"Attention all First Order Personnel, stormtrooper FN-2187 has initiated an escape. All Stormtroopers to the exporting area. Captain Phasma to the exporting area, General Hux to the exporting area, Supreme Leader Kylo Ren to the exporting area-"
Kylo cursed, throwing himself off of you and swiftly heading for the door. You got up yourself, furrowing your eyebrows. "Kylo, what's going on?" You asked, beginning to follow Ren. "Stay here." Kylo instructed, the door slamming in your face. You stepped near the sensor to open it, but the door refused to open. "Kylo!" You yelled, banging on the door. "Kylo!" Your volume increased, but there was silence besides the sirens that blared due to the trooper's escape.
What the hell was going on?
