Chapter Five

I sat in the middle of the room on the plain bed. Sam had just left me here and told me to call if I needed anything. The room was plain, white walls, grey door with grey sheets on the bed. I lay back on to the bed and stared at the celling for some time. Minutes flew by as I started to think about the life I wanted to leave behind, and the one I so desperately wanted to seek.

I was cut off in mid-thought as I heard a shower turn on, I sat up in response. Sighing, I decided to have a look around this place. Wondering aimlessly for a few minutes around the similar white halls, I found myself walking towards the sound of the shower. As I got closer I could hear singing. I wondered who the owner of this deep masculine voice was.

Walking past the bathroom, I came to a more furnished room, it was like the room I was provided with for the night, white walls, grey door and grey bed sheets, but it looked more homely. There was magazines on the surfaces of the room, as I passed them on my way into the room, I glanced at them briefly, only to notice that on the front covers were Asian women in seductive positions with little or no clothing on. So I quickly moved on further into the room (as that was something I didn’t particularly want to see) and took in my surroundings. Sitting on the edge of the bed by the bed-side-table there was an alarm clock and I noticed a photograph, with a happy Sam and Dean on with other smiling people - except for one. I think that was Castiel. I wonder why he wasn’t smiling. Do angels even smile? Who knew?

I further examined the photo. It didn’t look old just worn around the edges. I thought about who these other people might be. At that point I didn’t hear the shower and the singing all together stop.

"Hey what are you doing!?" I turned around to find Dean standing in the door way with a white fluffy towel hanging around his waist. His hair was wet.

"Err...Nothing, I just..." Placing the photograph back where I found it I stood up as Dean walked further into the room. "Didn’t you just have a shower?" I asked.

"Yeah, but I couldn’t get the smoke smell off of me."

Silence.

"Are you going to get out or am I going to have to physically remove you from my room?" Dean grumbled.

"Oh yes, err, I'll be going." I hurried out of Dean’s room and started towards the way I thought my room was in.

Ten minutes later and I was still walking around these halls. I started to panic. Where was I?

Wait, I could just re-trace my steps. I turned around immediately and started off in the opposite direction. Another ten minutes later I was still lost. What was this place? I started to feel really tired of walking around all evening, it must have been at least 10:00 pm by now. I decided to sit down and rest for a bit.

My back against the cold white wall I put my head in my hands and started to cry silently. I just wanted to see familiar faces again like my sisters or even my step-mothers... A creaking door snapped me out of my thoughts. I briefly heard music being played before the door shut again and the music stopped.

"Hello?" I looked up and said weakly. Footsteps became louder as I saw a blurry Dean walking towards me through my tears, this time he was just wearing his grey sweatpants - nothing else. I looked back down towards my feet.

"What are you doing?" Inquired Dean.

I looked around me. What was I doing?

"I got lost." I managed to say to him. I burst out into tears again. I felt stupid, crying in front of this guy who I barely knew in this very strange place.

I could tell that Dean felt uncomfortable and eventually said, "how come you got lost?"

"I was trying to find my way to the spare room," I piped up.

I heard Dean exhale heavily. "Come on I'll show you the way."

Dean walked away from me and assumed I was following him as he didn't look back. So I got up quickly to catch up to him, wiping my eyes as I went. The walk to my room-for-the-night was fairly quiet, just footsteps, and occasional hiccups from me.

"If you want to get to the front door it’s just down there on your left." He gestured and turned back to his room before I stopped him.

"Which ways the closest shower?" I asked shyly.

"It's just the same way to the door just turn right instead." He replied. He turned around again and I watched him walk away from me and was all alone again.

I picked up my phone from the bed where I left it. '8:30 pm' showed up on the screen. I must have thought it was later than it actually was. So I decided to go for a shower and go to sleep early.
