Chapter 9
-Hyungwon-
Despite being a freelance producer, it wasn't often he got to wake up naturally, without an alarm blaring his ears off. So it was disorienting to him waking up to the setting sun through his bedroom window.
"What time is it?" He groaned to himself.
As he reached for his phone it started ringing. He looked at it and brought it to his ear after reading the screen.
"Hello?"
"Please tell me you did not just wake up." Minhyuk's voice sounded over the speaker.
"Ah, of course, I didn't just wake up."
"Liar."
"I just said what you wanted me to."
Minhyuk sighed, "Please get up and feed yourself. I will go haywire if you go another day without eating. And don't go back to sleep."
"Yes, mom."
Hyungwon flopped back on his bed after Minhyuk hung up, seriously pondering whether it was worth facing an angry Minhyuk for a few more hours of sleep.
He decided he would get up but not before burning some time on socials.
He grabbed his phone and noticed a notification on his Line app, he tapped it open.
Unknown number: I'm sorry our talk was interrupted by my severely impaired brother. I hope we can get that ice cream sometime. Have a good night!
Based on the message he guessed it was Hoseok, he added the number to his contacts and typed back a reply.
Good morning. No worries. As long as you don't make me eat chocolate ice cream I'm fine with it.
He locked his phone and got out of bed, walking directly into the shower, peeling off his dreaded white outfit along the way.
Fifteen minutes later he got out of the shower and found there was another notification on his screen.
Hoseok: You seriously did NOT just wake up right?
Hyungwon frowned and looked at the hour, 6:30 pm. Oh, that's why Minhyuk was mad.
As a matter a fact, yes I did.
He set his phone down to open the fridge but immediately closed it seeing as there was nothing he could just heat up and eat. He opened the cupboards and reached for a package of noodles. His phone vibrated.
Hoseok: Is it even possible to sleep for 15 hours straight?
Of course, it is, my record is 36 hours.
Hoseok: Were you sick or something?
Nope. I pulled an all-nighter.
