"daddy!" jaehyun walked out of his bedroom from a small nap.

the two year old jumped up and down in the living room watching his favorite cartoon. the very sleepy looking boy smiled at the sight of his son.

but yoon-oh's little body slowly collapsed on the carpet floor looking tired. jaehyun immediately ran to the baby and took him in his arms.

"i told you not to move around too much" the boy scolded, he tried his best to keep on a soft voice.

the child breathed heavily for a few seconds and calmed down as his father swayed him and gently placed the baby's head on his shoulder patting his back gently.

"yuno is okay" the baby declared and gave a small kiss on jaehyun's cheeks, wrapping his adorable little hands on his father's neck.

the boy couldn't help but feel a little relieved.

"next week is your birthday" he continued patting on yoon-oh's back. "is there anything you want yoon?" he asked.

the small child jerked his head up and faced his daddy. "yiwen!" he exclaimed excitedly.

jaehyun frowned. he hasn't talked to the girl in a while. but he wanted everything for his little baby. the child already spent his 2 years of his life without a mother, and jaehyun can barely bring him outside fearing that someone will spot them.

"yes baby, yiren will be on your birthday" he rarely called the girl by her name so he oddly felt weird.

the girl groaned as she stood in the middle of the field with her brother and his friends.

"why are we even here again?" she pressed her long brown hair to her ears, it really was starting to get more chilly as the month of october was ending.

"because it's our free period and you don't have anyone else to hang out with so your lonely ass is hanging out with us" yangyang answered, an annoying smile plastered on his face.

well yiren couldn't disagree with that. she was quite popular, but she never really had close friends, the last time she had friends, they ended up saying nasty shit behind her back.

"yeah but why the hell are we out in the cold??" she tightened the grip on her jacket.

"see? xiaojun and hendery are cold too!" she glanced at the two boys beside her, their hands both on their pockets and their bodies
shivering because of the cold.

"i don't know what the hell is taking lucas so long" yangyang groaned.

yiren's stomach lurched at the mention of the name. "what?? we're waiting for him??" she asked in german, she didn't want hendery or xiaojun to overhear them talking about the guy, they'd just end up teasing her.

"who the hell did you think we were waiting for then??" yangyang rolled his eyes at his sister.

"i don't know, that bitch you were fucking or something, i forgot her name" yiren jumped up and down her spot to ease the coldness.

"hey! chaeryeong is not a bitch!" she defended.

"bitch is not an insult!" yiren knew who chaeryeong was, she was kind and smart, she was also the girl she saw with yangyang on the field. surprisingly, they've been dating for about 2 months, and yangyang's longest relationship was a week.

as the twins were arguing, a tall figure walked towards them, "lucas!" hendery called.

yiren avoided eye contact as the boy neared them, "what took you so long?? we're freezing" xiaojun complained.

"sorry" he muttered. the five of them walked towards the main building. lucas stood beside the younger female.

"hi yiren" he smiled brightly,
"h-hey" she replied. still not looking at the guy.

"a-are you alright?" he noticed how the girl was lightly shivering even as they entered the building. "yeah- it's just a bit cold, that's all" she smiled a little, it wasn't the cold that made her shiver, it was the awkward atmosphere.

"hey liu!" a loud voice called from behind them. it was loud enough for everyone on the lobby to turn their heads to the source of the voice.

jaehyun walked towards them. his hands were on his waist and he couldn't help but drag the girl out of lucas' side. and trust me, the boy had no idea why he did that so he got all flustered and embarrassed afterwards when they all looked at him like a weirdo.

"i need to speak to you" he was glad that he managed to not stutter.

"you can't just scream my name in the lobby after ignoring me for a week...
but okay i guess?" she looked back at his brother and his friends, including lucas.

"you guys go on, i'll be back" she smiled awkwardly, she could've sworn she saw yangyang smirk, but it wasn't really the time to scold him and cause a greater scene.

"what do you want jung?" she tried to sound uninterested, but she was interested.

"yoon's birthday is coming up" he said quietly so that no one can overhear their conversation.

"oh my gosh really??" the girl squealed, earning looks from the people around.

"yeah, and he's looking for you"
