As for the morning, well those never were the best for me. I awoke to the sound of squelching footsteps as someone walked across the pavement, obviously just exiting the water.

"Go ahead. Kill me. I probably deserve it" said a voice, I soon recognized as Jayden's partner Noah.

I slipped out of my sleeping bag and walked calmly over. "This is taking an enormous amount of self control, but go ahead. Explain" I offered.

"Okay here's the thing. You came here for children of Poseidon, correct?" Noah asked rhetorically.

We all nodded our heads in agreement.
"Well that's just it. Jayden is the only son of Poseidon left. Me, along with all the others in our city under the lake are children of the other minor sea deities. My father is Triton, so I'm naturally Jayden's second-in-command" Noah informed us.

"How many demigods are down there?" Chris asked.

"Enough to make a difference. And I think we can, we just need a cause. If you were okay with it, I can go and recruit all of us to come and finally take back the land that was once ours" Noah spoke, emphatically.

There's no denying that we need help. And he's offering... "You know what, that would be great. Here's a map, and it should track us along our journey, along with the camps we've visited" I told him, handing him one of the magical maps we had.

"I'll make this up to you, I promise" Noah departed with, jogging back off to the lake.

"Where to next?" James asked.

"Well let's take a look" I said, taking out my backpack and rummaging through. Soon, I found the map, but I also found the trident that was meant to make peace.

"Why don't you leave it here, for him to find so he knows we meant what we said" Ava suggested.

A good a plan as any, I picked up the steel handle and spun it, smashing the celestial bronze head into the concrete.
"Show off" I heard Chris mutter with a laugh.

"North Carolina it is!" I said, looking at the map. "Time for Aphrodite's children"
