We walked for about an hour before finding our way out and as we emerged we ran right into Ava and James, who looked like they were getting ready to come in and look for us.
"Adrian!" Ava exclaimed, running up and hugging her. "I'm so glad you're back!"
"So am I!" Adrian said in surprise at the whole situation.
"Why don't we go back and we can talk there" I suggested. Everyone agreed so we headed back to camp out in the fields.
"Woah. Those are some sick horses" Damon croaked, somewhat recovered from his shock.
"You can say that again. And they're definitely good in a fight" Westley said with a laugh.
"Where's Kat and Isabella?" Jordan asked, being the first one to realize who was missing. I just looked at him gravely, I couldn't bring myself to tell him.
"WHERES ISABELLA?!" Jordan demanded.
"She betrayed us. She was working for Matalel the whole time" Sam said bitterly.
"No, she wouldn't. She was my friend" Jordan whispered in disbelief.
"Wait, where's Kat?!why are you here Bex?!" Riley said.
"She...she was killed by one of the men that worked for Matalel" I stammered out. "Bex used to work for him, but she's switched sides. She's with us now"
Both Jordan and Riley were speechless. We all stood around in silence, not sure what to say to lighten the mood. Pype didn't really help, she had been curled up by the fire ever since we got back.
Finally Adrian broke the silence, "So how about we introduce each other, and we can get past all of this" She said.So that's what we did. After we had introduced each other we split off into our separate conversations. I decided to go talk to Lindsay.
"So what do you think of all the new demigods?" I asked.
"Were gonna have to watch out for Johnson and Westley. Make sure they don't take what they don't need" Lindsay said.
"I don't know about Johnson, but I trust Westley. I don't think he'll be a problem" I said.
"Maybe. Alex and Braxton will be a big help, with keeping our weapons sharp and making sure we have sufficient armor. Tristan looks to be okay. He'll probably be a good leader, with his father being Zeus and all. Same with Rachel" Lindsay said.
"Yea. Don't want to put too much faith in him though, never know when one of us is going to die" I said.
"Too true. Jonah and Alonso are either going to hate each other or be inseparable. I'm going with inseparable since they came together" Lindsay said.
"And now Pype. I need to talk to Adrian and figure out more about her, because honestly, we don't need someone that's going to sleep all day" I said.
"Gods, I hate to say it, but you're right" Lindsay said sadly.
After I finished talking to Lindsay I walked around for a little and then went to talk to Rose.
"Hey Rose. How are you?" I asked
"I'm okay. It's a little overwhelming with all of these new people" Rose said.
"Don't worry, you'll get used to it" I said.
"I just hope they're better than the kids I'm used to. I don't think I could deal with it much more" Rose said sadly.
"I'm sorry about how they treated you before, but we'll treat you much better, I promise" I encouraged.
"I'm not so sure. I'm weaker than you guys, and there's no denying people will see me as a liability" Rose said. I'm going to have to pay special attention to her. She is right, she is weaker, but that's no reason to pick on her.
