"Please... mother...father...just care. Love me. Love me for the monster I am. Cradle me in your embrace. Hold me tight. Love me. Love your son. Your son, the WOLFBOY."The streets died.
Not a single soul lined the intertwined roads of the witching hour. No one but the teenager with the hooded face. His face, wet and clammy, got stung quickly by the blistering winds that got spat in his face. His pale lips let go of shaky visible breathes every time he choked on air, and his raven crimson tipped hair clutched onto the soaked parts. His wolf tail dragged its wounded self across the bedding of soft white ice, canine ears ducked down behind his Hood and his sharp eye teeth overlapped his bottom lip.
As he walked across the paths, people caught his glance. People saw the distress that lingered inside of him, saw the visible pain and the emotional pain that screeched through his glowing eyes. But without mercy, they slammed their wooden windows shut, and from behind Rin could hear the soft click of a lock.
He never had anyone care. No friendly strangers offering him inside for shelter nor food, no one stopped and asked him if he was okay, no one ever just flat out gave remorse. He wasn't equal. And he will never be like them. No matter how much he tried, he will never be accepted.
He was not like them. He wasn't human. Humans only allowed humans. That's all he was taught. Never trust others. Don't even trust people who bring you in. Don't. If you do, they'll only pain you more. It will just ache longer then it should.
No one will ever heal me. They will just scratch off the bandage and pour salt on the wounds.
His worn out boots padded softly on the snow, sometimes catching his tail underneath his souls. Tears poured from his eyes like a waterfall, just like the memories. The memories of him.
The man who locked him away. Promised that he would love him, wipe away his tears, fight off all his threats, and give him comfort in times of need. Then he did the stupidest thing. The down right dumbest thing.
"But, I don't like girls!"
Rin shook his head as he stumbled back slightly, palm wrapped tightly around his forehead. He felt a headache swirl in as the day came back. All the bruises. The blood. Him.
Rin used to love him. He looked up to him. Then everything fell apart in a say of the mouth. One secret ruined it all. One.
He wrapped the long sleeved tunic that hugged his lanky build tighter, the Autumn breeze whistling beside his furry ears.
He sat down next to a tall Everblue tree, lying his back on the thick bark. Head scratching on the tree, his ears and eyelids fell heavy, mouth shut, he soon drifted into slumber.
But one conscious thought zoomed through his mind as the drowsy feeling consumed him.
"No one will ever care for me...Rin...Rin Waters the Wolfboy... "
