Kevin holds up the revolver," Who are you and is there anyone else here with you?" Kevin says taking aim. " I thought you cleared the places." Liam says putting his hand on the barrel of the revolver. "I did." Kevin let's out with a sigh. "Clearly not cause I'm standing here." Comes from across the room.
"What's your name? I'm Liam and the one that didn't sweep the place properly is Kevin, pleasure to make your acquaintance." Said Liam. " Kai, my names Kai and yeah I'm alone. I got here a few days ago when the group that's out was smaller." Says Kai. The noice outside seems to die down for a second before the spitter let's out a screech loader then before.
"You've been here longer is there a way out of this room? Like a roof escape or back door." Asks Kevin pulling back the hammer on the revolver. The striders start hammering on the door to the backroom.
" The backdoor was barricaded by people that were here before me. Theres a vent by I doubt any if us will fit and theres stairs that lead to a second story." Kai says pulling a baseball bat from the side of their bag. "Then the stairs are our best bet. Wait you said people before..."
A crash is heard from upstairs as night falls. " Kevin, gas mask on just in case theres spores." Liam says crouching down to pull a gas mask from his bag. "I'll pack up the water and bread." Kevin nods grabbing his gas mask from his belt and kneeling down to collect the supplies. "Theres working flashlights in there closet over there." Kai says to Liam, pointing at the closet to his left that's holding the door closed. "Thanks but why are you letting us take this?" Kevin asked Kai with a look of confusion on his face.
"Oh cause I'm coming with you." Kai says walking up to Kevin and sends a bright smile his way. " Liam, you sure this will be okay?" Kevin asks concerned. "Its fine they helped us out best we can do is let them tag along, plus it's getting boring just being us two anyway." Liam says while taping the flashlight to the side of his gas mask.
"When I got here I looked through the windows from outside, the lights are out so the flashlights will come in handy. Wait why are your taping that to your mask and what's the mask for?" asks Kai.
"I see, you dont know how people get infect. I'll explain when we get so somewhere safer." Says Liam as his ascends the stairs."Its quite the striders outside calmed down for the time being." Kevin says holding the revolver to his side. " Kevin save all the bullets incase any of us get infected."Liam gestures him to put it away.
Kevin pulls a nailed cricket bat from his back, making sure not to prick himself in the process.
They reach the landing of the second story, Liam tries to push the door open slowly." Kai stay out here with Kevin I'll make sure it's clear." Liam says as he slips through the crack he made in the door.
