Akasha looked into Kiaras expressionless hazel eyes. She could see her lips moving as she spoke about the new recruits, but she didn't hear a word. Almost none of them had the ability to capture her attention.
The only ones who had managed to interest her so far were the blue-eyed blonde named Isac Taranto and Aleksander Strevch. The latter had impressed Kiara by spectating the matches until he knew which teacher was the weakest, then immediately using all his weak points against him.- ...so now you should go introduce yourself and instruct the teachers.
Maybe she should sneak out tonight? It'd been a while since she went out to have fun. Dancing would be nice, right?
- Capricorn!
Akasha snapped back to reality as Kiara called out for her.
- What?
Poor Kiki looked as though she would start breathing fire.
- Sober up, wash yourself and go visit all of your new subjects without making too big a fool of yourself!
- Do I really have to? They're just a bunch of amateurs, less than half of them will last the week out.
- Ash… I don't know what to do with you. Just do as I said or I'll make sure you can't go out for a month! You're their leader, their Capricorn. Basically their god. Don't ruin that image.
Akasha sighed. She would have to bathe, wouldn't she. A hopeless process where a bunch of servants did all the job for her, most of it unnecessary. But still, it never got her anything, arguing with Kiara. They had been together for such a long time, it didn't matter that Kiki was a subject and Akasha her leader. They were more like sisters than anything else.
- I'll go tell the servants to draw a bath and prepare the most effective soap they have.
With those, quite hurtful, words, Kiara left the room.
