"what?" i ask, staring at draco whose now in front of me.
"what?" he asks, repeating my question.
"i asked you first."
"fine." he mutters, looking away from me.
"fine what?"
"fine, i'll do the project."
i nod and turn around, continuing to walk to the forbidden forest.
"so what do we do?" i hear draco ask from behind me.
"you'll see."
he groans, "are we going to the forbidden forest?"
"yup, why? are you scared?"
"no- no im not fucking scared y/n."
"mhm, right."
________
once we get to the forest, hagrid walks up to us.
"ello- i'll take you in- er, there. you'll get what you need- and we'll be out."
we both nod, and start to walk through some paths.
"i cannot believe im doing this- it's servant work."
"servant work? draco- it's a project."
he scoffs and shakes his head.
i pull out my list, "we should get started."
"you can start- i wanna see if i can find a unicorn."
"what? no- you told me, you'd do it."
"eh- i lied."
i grab his hand and pull him over to some leaves, "which one looks like scurvy leaves to you?"
"what the fuck is that?"
i groan and pull out my books, flipping through some pages before pointing to a green plant.
"hmm." he mumbles, "probably that one." he points to a green plant, with long oddly shaped leaves.
i nod, "you're correct."
"aren't i always?"
i laugh and clip a single leaf off of the large plant.
when i turn around i see draco smirking at me.
"what?" i ask, placing the leave into a clear folder.
"nothing."
i clear my throat and place the books back into my bag, "i think that's all we have to do today."
"oh, really?"
"yep." i say walking back to hagrid.
but draco doesn't follow. instead he turns around in the opposite direction- heading for a large tree.
"what are you doing?" i shout, dropping my bag to the forest ground to follow him.
he responds by jumping up on the tree, and climbing it. he stumbles a bit on the way up, half of me thinks he's going to fall.
"draco you're going to get in trouble!"
"come up here with me princess."
i shake my head no, "no way im getting up there."
draco rolls his eyes, "i knew you wouldn't do it- fucking mudbloods can't do anything."
this enrages me, but i think that's what he meant to do. i storm over to the tree and start to climb up it, in a more graceful way than draco did. it was easy and almost elegant.
