Ophelia Emory Grey

The air was getting crisp, the leaves were changing colors.

I still, couldn't grasp the fact that I was going to Hogwarts.

Many missing assignments were resulted from me daydreaming nonstop throughout the days.

Many nights wondering what it was going to be like.

But after the days slowly dragged on, the day had finally arrived.

October 30th, my new favorite day of the year.

Chaisee and I were packing our trunks, trying to fit as many clothes as we could.

I pushed down on my overloaded trunk, "I still can't fucking believe it Chaisee! We're going to Hogwarts!" I shrieked.

She had a huge smile on her face. I don't remember the last time she smiled this hard.

I squeezed Chaisee's hand. In front of us was the huge carriage, which was going to get pulled by the huge horses.

We had used the carriage a couple of times before for our trips. But every time I see it, I'm in awe.

We both took a deep breath before stepping into the carriage.

The inside looks the same as last time I saw it, white leather couches and baby blue painted walls. There were small plants here and there, and the room stank of perfume.

Just then I saw Malcolm and Julien Monet talking amongst themselves, sitting on the back of the living room. Malcolm's eyes caught mine, but he quickly diverted his attention back to Julien.

Right then I made a promise to myself to never talk to him during the carriage ride. I didn't want to waste my time talking to that dimwit.

Chaisee and I sat down on a couch across the room. I looked around, noticing how little people there were inside.

I thought for a fact the whole school would want to go to Hogwarts.

~

I was so focused on the conversation Chaisee and I were having, I didn't notice that a whole hour already passed by.

My hands were sweaty, and it felt like my heart was in my throat.

It really hit me then, I am actually going to be at Hogwarts in 2 hours.

"What are they doing?" Chaisee asked, her eyes looking over my shoulder.

I looked behind me, to see everyone sitting in a large circle.

"Probably playing spin the bottle," I said as I shook my head, "They're so immature."

I wondered if I said that too loud, as several people's eyes landed on me.

I scoffed and rolled my eyes.

"If you're so mature, why don't you join us!" Julien shouted.

I turned my head around, "That doesn't make any sense idiot." I shouted back. He narrowed his eyes and went back to playing his stupid little game.

~

I fluttered my eyes open and squinted at the bright light.

"Wakey wakey!" A deep voice cooed.

When my eyes finally went into focus, I immediately sat up.

Julien was standing right in front of me, a marker in his hand.
