"Oh um I'm Phoebe and this is Salem," she said pointing to the sleeping Salem in her arms.
"I see," he said, nodding.
After a long moment of awkward silence, Rio looked up into her eyes. She noticed he was looking at her, and met his gaze. He moved closer to her, making Phoebe blush. Soon his face went right in front of hers, making Phoebe's whole face turn red and heat up, her heart beating faster then it had ever had. Her body's heat increased to a level unexplainable. Mixed feelings urged her body, what was this feeling? she thought. She looked into his eyes then felt his hand touch her forehead.
"Are you okay?" Rio said, then moved his body back to where his place was earlier.
"You look like you have a fever," he said to her. Phoebe's body suddenly from tense slowly going back to normal, a huge sigh escape her soft lips. 'What was that feeling just now?' she thought to herself, touching the area where her heart had once beaten very quickly. Phoebe glanced at him, for that longing touch on her forehead again...but why? Why did she want him to touch her again? How did she even end up in this mess? Why we're they even hiding? All these thoughts jumbled in her head at once.
"Hey! You!" the large figure from before shouted. Other formed a crowd behind them, and the next thing the two kids knew at a blink was they were trapped in a cell.
"AHH!!" Phoebe cried. Salem growled as he awoke from his sleep. At the sight of the cell he turned in his large form and put his head against the bars looking to see what was going on.
Phoebe sighed and sat against the wall, across where Rio sat in thought. "Sorry," he said apologetically.
"Sorry?" she asked him cluelessly.
"For getting you in this stupid mess," he said.
"It's okay," she said trying to comfort him.
"No its not, I never meant to get you in this mess," Rio said looking to the ground.
"Why were you running in the first place?" Phoebe asked curiously.
Rio sighed and looked up. "I'm surprised you don't know who I am," he said, phoebe didn't respond and let him finish what he was saying, "My grandfather owns this island," Phoebe's mouth dropped, but Rio continued, "He was having a huge party to celebrate the new island he bought in the Caribbean, and I had to attend it. And I'm not into pointless parties, so I escaped with my friend George who helped me stall at the pool, but we got separated when we were getting chased by my grandfather's body guards, see, my dad, who's abroad, is really over protective with me because he thinks I'm...dangerous," he paused for a long moment then realized he hadn't finished his story," So anyways, then I bumped into you, and I didn't have any choice but to run, and I guess I just took your hand and brought you with me," he explained to her.
Phoebe tried to look for regret in his eyes for meeting her but instead light filled it. "But you no Phoebe, I'm glad I met you," he said, getting loser, his bare hands touched her cheeks, and the same feeling from earlier appeared before her. She felt the longing come to ease, as his eyes met hers in an instant.
At the exact moment the dangling keys and the door open made Salem growl, and the guard recoil, both heads in the cell turned to Salem and the guard, both stepping back from each other, Phoebe's face scarlet red. Rio stood up, lending his hand to phoebe who took it and pulled herself up. They stepped outside, as Salem following Phoebe from behind.
"This way," the guard ordered, and at the next moment they entered the room, a smirk on Rio's face, and a shocked expression on Phoebe's.
