Chapter 5 - Sleep over

Me and Kelsey were in her room talking about random stuff. "So you're telling me you ran away like right there?" Kelsey asks

"Yes, I know I know" I say laughing a bit "it was so cringe I just ran away freaking out" Kelsey starts laughing "oh my god okay remind me to never let you talk to any of your crushes" we both start laughing and then I get a call from Adam which makes me freak out.

"Wait Adams calling me!" I yell. "Well answer it something might have happened!" Kelsey yells. I quickly answer to hear Noah and Max in the background acting stupid. "Hey Liz!" He yells "hey hey guys she answered" he whispers. I put my phone on speaker so Kelsey can hear too. "Adam what the hell We thought something bad happened!" I yell and throw up my hands even though he can't see it. "Yeah we thought you were in the ambulance being took to the hospital!" Kelsey yells doing the same hand motions I did.

"No no nothing wrong." He says quickly. "Then what is it?" We ask. "We wanted to know since you guys are having a sleep over that you guys could come over here and have one with all of us." Me and Kelsey look at each other, Kelsey nods and I mute them so they can't hear us. "I don't know if my mom will be okay with this" I say. "Just call and ask her" Kelsey says, she gets up and goes to the kitchen to get her house phone so I can call my mom and ask. I dial my house phone number and my mom answers.

"Hello?"
"Hey mom"
"Oh hi sweetie how's the sleepover?"
"It's good but uh...I was wondering if it would be okay because Adam called and asked me-"
"If you could go over there and all of you could have a sleepover?"
"Wha-how- how did you know?"
"Noah called me before you did and asked for you"
"Oh" I let out
"You can I don't mind but behave yourself"
"Okay thank you I love you mom"
"I love you too honey"

I hang up the phone and turn to Kelsey "they already called her and asked" I say, "oh well what did she say?" "She said I can go" we both start jumping up and down hugging each other and then we realize that Noah, Max, and Adam are still on the phone muted. We quickly unmute and tell them we are on our way.

We make our way to Alex's house because Adam told us to ask Alex to come over too. Alex ended up being able to go too so we waited for him to get his stuff and we started walking to Adams house.

We get to Adams house and we all make sure Adam is comfortable and that he is feeling okay. And of course Max recommends we play Truth or Dare again. Last time it didn't really go as planned so we all agreed to play.

Noah goes first this time though. "Truth or Dare Alex?" He asks. "Uh..truth I guess" he says unsure. "Okay is it true that would die for any of us?" "Yes of course!" He exclaims quickly. "I would die for any of you in a heartbeat."

"Okay your turn" Adam tells Alex.  "okay truth or dare Adam?" Alex asks looking at him with a smirk. Adam looks up and puts a finger on his chin indicating he's thinking.

"Truth" he lets out. "Okay do you have a crush on anyone?" "I don't know what else to ask" Alex says embarrassed. "Yes I do" Adam says. "Okay Truth or Dare Eliza?" He says "Wait Wait no" we all start saying "hold up wait go back" and then he asks "what?"

"You can't just ignore the question" Noah says "but I didn't" we look at him confused "he asked if I had a crush and I answered, he never asked who it was" he explains "oh" we all say understanding. "Anyways truth or dare Eliza?"

I look at him and then say "dare" "Ooo you're being a daredevil today Liz" Max says. "Yep I guess so" I say "I dare you to tell us the worst thing you've ever done" he says. "Dude that's basically a truth" Max says. "I'm not good with dares you guys know this" Adam says putting a hand through his hair.

"Okay the worst thing I've ever done?" I ask. "Mhm" Adam mumbles while nodding his head.

Hmm what is the worst thing I've ever done. I get flash backs to whenever my dad hit my mom when he came back home from work one day and he was mad at her because she didn't have any thing cooked for him. I watched him hurt her and I didn't do anything about it. I was too weak and scared to do something about it I couldn't. I just couldn't. I ran to her while she was on the ground crying and hugged her. I let her stain my clothes with tears. I didn't care. As long as i could at least try and make her feel better that's all that mattered.

Would that be the worst thing I've ever done? I suppose so. But I can't tell them all that. Can I?

I told them a lie and say it was French kissing a boy for spin the bottle. "Ohh Liz is a player" Max says joking around.

Eventually we all fell asleep. Kelsey and me slept beside the bed to make sure Adam was okay In case something happened. Noah slept on the ground near Adams closet. Max slept by the window, and Alex slept on the other side is Adams bed.

When we all woke up we had to go home because Adams parents wanted Adam to have some alone time, whatever thats suppose to mean. When I got back home i started reading my favorite book, A Monster Calls, I love it. The first time I read it, I finished it in only one day. My mom knocks on my door and I tell her to come in. She walks in and sits on the edge of my bed and asks me how Adams doing. "He-He's doing alright I guess." "When we were at his house he didn't seem very bad" I tell her. "That's good Honey" she says as she pats my leg.

I fall asleep some how and wake up at 11:36 p.m.

Damnit...

Now my sleep schedules gonna be fucked up.
