"Daddy?", a small whisper sounded off in the dark and, once quiet, basement.
"Yes, baby?", Jeongguk answered back, seeing his son's Bambi-like eyes flutter open, a small yawn escaped his small line lips, and his small round face red and puffy from his deep sleep.
"Where are we? We are not home, are we?"
"Unfortunately, no, baby. We are not home", Jeongguk whispered, pulling his son closer to himself, laying the small boy's head on his lap, his long slender fingers threading through the soft black locks of his son.
"What day is it, daddy? Is it sunny out? Can I go play with my friend? When can I go back to school? I miss my teacher", the young boy mumbled.
Jeongguk's heart swelled. It was so upsetting to hear this from his son. He didn't know what was happening to them and Jeongguk didn't know if they would even make out of this alive.
He didn't know how to even respond to his son's questions and it hurt him to not be able to say something to all of them. His memories were foggy and his thoughts have been mumbled over each other. Jeongguk was tired of it all and he was tired of being here.
What day was it? Was it night or day? Have they been here for days?
Have they been here for weeks? The only one who didn't seem that bothered by the situation is his son, Taeyeon. Jeongguk was done and tired of all of this.
The man gently lays his son's head down on the worn-out mattress and gets up. He walks up the noisy wooden stairs and pounds on the door. At first, no one came and he kept knocking, but then a groan was heard behind the locked and the lock from the other side clicked against the key unlocking it.
The door quickly swung open and Jeongguk sucked in a breath. V was standing in front of him shirtless and black sweatpants clinging lowly around his waist. No muscles on his body but his broad frame and honey golden skin glowed from the few lights in the hallway he stood in.
His long brown hair now fluffed up and sticking every which way, his eyes hooded becoming bedroom eyes.
"What the fuck you doing pounding on the door at three o'clock in the god damn morning, brat?", V mumbled out, frustration and sleep laced in his rude words.
Jeongguk felt shivers through his body from how deep V's voice went. The normal deep voice scared Jeongguk already, his sleep voice went deeper than any man he ever met.
"I-It's past midnight?", Jeongguk hated himself for stuttering after he came up with so much confidence.
"Yes, now what the hell do you want?"
"My son to see the sun. We don't know when it is day or night. We don't even know what day it is. My son needs to go to school! Don't you think it's dangerous that my son is missing days from school? They will go to my home and report us missing."
