No one's POV

Y/n sat at the edge of her seat, waiting for the final bell to ring. When it did, she bolted out of the classroom and raced away from Shiratorizawa, trying to escape the girls that, no doubt, would be waiting for her. She breathed a sigh of relief when she got a few blocks away from the school, her relief was short lived though, when she was pulled into an alley by the very girls she was trying to avoid. She shook violently, trying not to cry as the girls beat the living daylights out of her. When they finally left, she slowly stood up and made her way home. She entered the house, trying to be silent, if she was quiet enough, her dad wouldn't notice her. Apparently today, luck wasn't on her side. He somehow heard her, and the beating that followed was worse than ever. By the end of it, she couldnt see straight and she couldn't stand at all. She drug herself towards her room, hearing her father's harsh words in her head. 'Be more like Morisuke (Yaku), or his boyfriend Lev. Stop being completely useless!!'

Your POV

I got into my room and pulled out the card for the social worker who was handling the divorce case between mom and dad. She answered immediately and I told her what happened, and that I wanted to take up her offer of getting me emancipated, which means I can move out of the house, since I'm 17 anyways, a second year in high school, I had a job and if my dad wouldn't steal my money, I'd be able to provide for myself. She called the police as soon as I emailed the photos of myself she requested, and 5 minutes later, the police were there, escorting my dad out in handcuffs, and an ambulance was taking me to the hospital. I laid still in the bed as they treated my wounds, they would all scar really bad. I whimpered as they popped my shoulder back into it's socket, then wrapped it and my chest up tight. The social worker then asked if I wanted to stay at the school I was at and I immediately said no. She then said the only school accepting transfers at the time was Aoba Josai, I told her it sounded fine, and she went to contact the school and see who I would live with until all the paperwork went through. Turns out there was one student who was willing to accept me, that student being Toru Oikawa. I snickered at the fact that I'd being housemates with someone who hates Shiratorizawa as much as I do.

A couple days after I got out of the hospital and settled into Oikawa senpai's house, I started school at Aoba Josai. Oikawa senpai explained the whole fangirl issue and he said he'd be my older brother, so hopefully they wouldn't bother me too much. He told me about the volleyball team, and how they needed a manager. He asked if I'd do it. My selective mutism was explained to him and all teachers and staff, so that wouldn't be a problem. All I would have to do is write notes and assist the team with towels, water, and cleaning the gym. I agreed, as long as I was able to continue to work at my job I was fine with it. He showed me to my classes. Then left to go to his own. The teacher introduced me and explained that I was mute. She made it sound like i couldn't speak at all but whatever. She had me sit next to this scary looking guy, she called him Kyotani. I sat down and stared at my desk the whole period, shy, and already knowing the work they were doing.

After class I walked into the gym silently, hoping Oikawa senpai was already there. He wasn't, but the coach was. He explained everything and practice got underway when Oikawa and Iwaizume senpai finally showed up, totally not trying to hide hickeys hehe. The practice was uneventful and I left afterwords to head to work. I worked at a small bakery, where every day we brought in dogs that were gonna be put down due to overcrowded shelters. Patrons were encouraged to play with the dogs, and, if they passed all the necessary steps, they could adopt them. It was a great system, we had adopted out over a hundred dogs that otherwise would've died the very same day. The shop was called Puppy Love Pastries. Adorable name and adorable pups. I was the main Baker, and I would go to the shelters to pull the dogs from them. The shelters were more than happy for us to take the dogs, it saves them money from having to use the stuff to euthanize them.
