McKenna's POV
"Finally" I whisper to myself after getting off a bus near my cousin Lydia's house. I haven't seen her since I was a kid but it was either this or a foster home, thanks to my dad being murdered. I stand next to the bus stop sign contemplating what to do, I hadn't thought this far in advance. Right on cue, a silver mustang pulls up. The window rolls down and a girl with strawberry blond hair pats the the passenger seat with a smile.
"Well, McKenna, you gonna get in?" I put my two suit cases in the back, then proceed to clamber in to the car that's probably worth more than i am.
"I haven't seen you since you were like 4." The redhead says. "How old are you now? 12? 13 maybe"
I roll my eyes. I know I'm small for my age but, Jesus.
"Lydia, I'm 16." I says
"Oh, I knew that. Where'd you move to again, Montana?"
"Maryland." I say dryly.
we pull up to a humongous house and I get my bags out of the back.
"Do you need help?" she asks.
"No, I think I got it." I say. She grabs a duffle bag anyway.
"So, do you like the room? I designed it my self." She asks proudly.
"Well, it's not really my style, but I appreciate it." I say looking at the very bright, very girly room in front of me.
"I wanted to add a bit of my taste to the room, but I think you'll like the closet." Lydia says and walks away. Out of curiosity, i go to the closet. It's filled with denim, black, and metal.
"That's more like it."
it looks like they fit pretty well. I see a note on the wall that says:
I heard about your life back home and I felt bad and assumed you didn't have much, so I decided to get you some stuff. I called some people and got your clothes and shoe size (shoes located in the Back.) I wasn't sure of your style, but figured this would do. I kept the recites so no worries if you don't like it

I walk out of the closet and back into the room. I begin to put away my belongings when Lydia walks in.
"Come on. I have some people for you to meet." she says and walks out of the room
