𝐮𝐧𝐤𝐧𝗼𝐰𝐧 𝐧𝐮𝗺𝐛𝐞𝐫

soon the end of the day came and i was packing my bag. i walked over to the gym and stood outside the front door.

i was feeling a little better than usual, because of the talk i had with bokuto and akaashi, but i still wasn't looking forward to being the center of attention.

as i began to walk away i heard the door open. it was shirofuku.

"oh hey y/n, are you coming?", she said with the boys water bottles in her hand.

"would coach mind", i asked looking to the ground.

"i'm sure he won't, you can go inside suzumeda is in there", she said filling up the water bottles.

i went inside the gym and headed over to coach. i bowed in his presence as he gave me reassurance that i was fine staying there. i went over and stood near suzumeda who seemed to be taking notes.

"oh, hey y/n", she said slightly surprised.

i gave her a small wave as i sat down. i noticed how no one really paid attention to the fact that i was there, i liked it that way.

"so have you made up your mind about this weekend", shirofuku asked sitting next to me.

i hadn't even noticed that she came back inside.

"um, what's this weekend", i asked shyly.

"yesterday we were discussing how we'd hang out maybe this weekend."

"tomorrow's friday so i wanted to know if you'd made up your mind yet", she said.

how could i be so stupid. i completely forgot about that. i didn't want to turn them down, they seemed like they were genuinely nice people.

"it's alright you can take your time", shirofuku said observing the boys practice.

i looked over at the court and met eyes with a certain someone. he gave me a big smile and a thumbs up. it's almost like he knew what we were talking about and wanted me to say yes.

"i'll go", i said without thinking.

"ouu, that's perfect", suzumeda said smiling at me.

"we can go over all the plans tomorrow, you'd just have to come here again."

i nodded in response.

i really hope you didn't just set me up bokuto.

practice soon ended and everyone started heading to the locker rooms to change, bokuto being the first one to rush in. he came out pretty quickly and headed over towards me.

"hey y/n! i didn't know you were coming."

"should i have gone home", i said assuming the worse.

"no no no i'm actually glad you came, i like spending time with you", he said sincerely.

i looked at him and he gave me a bright smile. it warmed my heart.

a little while later akaashi came out of the locker room.

"you guys ready", he said.

"yup", bokuto said running to him with you following behind.

as we made our way out of the school bokuto spoke up.

"y'know we never really talk about anything interesting."

"right you just blabber your mouth away," akaashi said causing bokuto to whine.
