Brothers Conflict - Yuri

Chapter 15 Masaomi and Akari.

Akari a blue eyed, long brown haired petite nurse, was walking home one night after her shift at the hospital when she came across Masaomi asleep at the bus stop. As she lived only a few doors down from the bus stop and she could see that Masaomi also worked at the hospital by his work card around his neck, she took pity on him and bought him home.

Masaomi had worked a 48 hour shift with no breaks so didn't remember being woken and walked the few steps to Akari's home or being settled on the futon to rest. The first thing he was aware of was waking up in a strange unit alone to some cold breakfast with juice and a note saying "Hi Masaomi, I found you asleep at the bus stop last night. I didn't think that it was a safe place for you to sleep so I brought you to my home. I have left to go to work now but I have left you this breakfast and drink. Please eat and lock up when you leave. I hope that you take better care of yourself in future. Blessings Akari "

Masaomi was really appreciative that Akari had accommodated him over night and had left him breakfast. He tidied the futon back to a seat, washed the dishes he used and wondered at the type of person this Akari could be. He didn't think to wonder how she knew his name.

From looking around the small unit all he could tell was that she appeared to be some sort of medical staff and worked at the same hospital as him. He didn't remember any Akari's working there but that wasn't unusual as it was a big hospital and he typically only worked in paediatrics. If she worked in another ward he would not see her.

It was his days off for two days so he went home and determined to find out on Monday when he returned who Akari was.

Come Monday, he did try and discovered that there were 10 Akari's working at the hospital and could have been any of them so he gave up. It wasn't until Tsubaki had his accident that he came across the kind nurse who had looked after him that day.

Akari was working her shift in the medical ward when she was landed with Tsubaki as a unconscious patient. They had decided that he didn't need to be in ICU as all his stats seemed to be fine, he was a high care patient though so Akari was specialising him with a second patient.

Akari was in the process of sponging Tsubaki when she noticed bruising around his scrotal area. As she had been reading about scrotal injuries she wondered if he had been checked. She didn't remember anything mentioned so went to double check his chart after finishing her chore.

Masaomi decided then that he would check on his brother and sat in his room reading the room charts. Akari came back looking flustered as she had found that he had not been checked for scrotal damage, she had come back for his room chart to call a Dr, only to find the handsome Dr she had rescued at the bus station.

"Excuse me Dr Masaomi " she said

He startled at that as he had always been addressed "Dr Asahina"
"Yes sister?"

"I am worried about this patient, sir" Akari said

"Why is that?"

"I think he may have scrotal damage from the bike accident and I can't find any evidence that he has been checked out for this."

As soon as Masaomi heard that he ran and checked to see if they had been done. Upon finding they weren't organised the tests urgently, as he knew that the nurse was right time was against them should Tsubaki be found to have damage.

The damage was found and Tsubaki was whipped off to theatre again for emergency surgery and retrieval of his sperm. Masaomi ensured that everything happened quickly for his brother, but apart from seeing the nurse who pointed out the injury he didn't return to that ward as Tsubaki went back to ICU and then the surgical ward.
