GONE INTO FLASHBACK

The leader told me that his name was Crossbow. I laughed a little at that funny name but became silent at his stern look. He said ,"  We have to begin fast else it will be too late. " I was made to sit on a mattress and some some strange kind of sticks were burnt infront of me. Soon the sticks started becoming longer. I was scared. They tightened around me and grabbed me into the fire. I screamed and closed my eyes. After some time I realised that I was standing in some kind of farm with strange trees covered with blood and in the midst of all was sitting a man infront of a fire. I felt that he was praying.

   As the man chanted some strange words the smoke of the fire spread towards the cluster of houses nearby.
   I heard the screams of some children. I ran in the direction of the houses. As I reached the door of one of the houses, it opened with a loud bang. A child rushed out coughing blood. Some more children came out of their houses in the same condition with their parents running behind them. The children ran for some distance and suddenly stopped infront of a building. I raised my eyes and saw that it was the same hospital that I had seen in the illusion in that old library in our town.

    Suddenly the children stopped and turned around. I recalled that they were the same children whom I had seen when I had gone into a trance in the library. All the things that I had seen in that illusion were real. A chill ran down my spine.
      Just at that moment thick greenish fluid started dripping from their mouths. It had a very bad odour. I felt like vomitting. Just at the instance a big arm came out of the fluid and then another one came out and within a few moments a whole creature had been transformed from the fluid. It was about the size of a building. Then he started decreasing in size.
    I started feeling that I was being pulled back to the World of Souls. However I had a glimpse of what the creature had finally transformed into. He was Peter.

   Now everything became clear to me. The man who seemed to be praying was doing some witchcraft further unleashing an evil spirit. I had seen in a number of movies how the evil spirits spread some kind of deadly disease to make themselves strong.
    The children whom I had seen in the illusion in that library probably had been the victims of the disease which had made the devil stronger. But soon I realised that it was taking longer to go back to the world of souls. Just at that moment something banged against my head and I fainted.

15.
    I woke up to find myself back on that mattress. I saw that everyone was worried. My hair stood on end. The leader came forward and said, " You were lost in some kind of strange world. It was very difficult to find you. You have only one day left to escape from this place."
    I had goosebumps. I raised my hands and saw that they had turned grey and the flesh was decaying.
