"that's a cheap vacation"

this chapter's song; Nights, by Frank Ocean

SMOKE filled the room as billie blew fumes out of her mouth. it unevenly spread throughout the small, awkwardly shaped room. most of it ended up where kai was sitting. unconventionally, billie continued to let clouds of smoke go through the room even though someone else was in the space.

kai was stuck in billie's second-hand smoke. she couldn't escape it, because to a certain degree, she'd be escaping billie. drugs were apart of billie. they were her personality, they were her friends, they were her everything. drugs were her replacements, drugs were her emotions. they'd intoxicated her, they'd gotten to her brain. she was in too deep- they were in her too deep.

by now, she was a drug addict. as much as her friends loved her, as much as kai loved her, she was slowly pushing them away. as much as they vowed to love her forever; to never leave her, she was making them vanish.

like dominoes billie lost a friend. one by one by one someone excited billie's life due to the drugs she took. she hated that she couldn't stop. it was frustrating to the greatest extent. she was an addict, the problem was above her. soon enough, she wouldn't want to stop.

but every fucked up scenario leads to another, don't they?

"billie can you please shut up?" kai pleaded and looked up from her computer screen. she blankly stared into billie's blue eyes. she was studying for a test and billie was troubling her brain. already having problems with focus, billie's irrational rambles did her no good. she had no sleep in her body. she was running off of pure fear of disappointing others.

emphasizing on a singular thing was hard for her, and billie was getting on her last nerve. the last thing she wanted to hear about was the exact date and time that justin bieber was born. she needed to study so her mother wouldn't disown her.

billie pouted at kai's harsh tonation and words. her state of mind was that of a fourteen-year-old's. she wished to talk until her mouth came unhinged. she wanted to feed kai with irrelevant facts until the girl ripped her hair straight out of her scalp.

"b-but i wanna keep talking," billie whined as if she was about to burst into uncontrollable tears.

kai breathed out through her nose. she internally begged herself not to scream at the childish acting young woman who laid on the bed. "fine, keep fucking talking," kai grumbled and then looked back down to her keyboard.

billie struggled to make out the reflection in kai's circular glasses. since she'd found a new interest in kai's computer screen, billie mumbled random words as she walked up behind kai.
