Eyes were burning on your back as you walked into the grand throne room. It was full of Asgardian people - and Gods.
Peppa led you towards the throne were your dear future husband sat. A woman and a few people stood next to him.
As you stood at the base of the few steps, Loki raised from his throne and the whispering went dead.
'Asgard,' he spoke with a stern voice. The tension in the large room could be cut with a knife. 'We have gathered this evening to celebrate the engagement. May I introduce you, Y/N. From Midgard.' As he finished talking, people started talking and talking turned to gossiping.
Peppa pushed you forward, mumbling a congratulations. You wondered why he picked someone from Midgard of there were literally a hundred women in this room.
Loki held out his hand and you took it a little hesitant.
'I have someone who wants to meet you, darling,' he purred as he dragged you to the woman with a friendly smile.
'Hello,' her angelic voice said. You instantly smiled.
'Hi,' you said shyly.
'This is my mother, Frigga. Mother, this is
Y/N.' She extended her hand and you shook it. Then were a little taken by surprise as she pulled you into a hug.'Loki told me so much about you,' she said happily. She looked at her son lovingly. 'I must say that I am pleasantly surprised that he went all the way to Midgard for you. For love. It reminds me of me and my husband as well.'
'He didn't went to Midgard for me. He wanted to take-' Someone stepped on your foot and you winched in pain.
'Take her here, yes. We made plans for you to stay on Asgard.' Loki hid his smirk well as he nudged your arm to play along. 'Your stuff wil l arrive in a few days.' Your face lit up.
'Really?' you chirped.
'Of course.' He leaned in close to your ear as if to make it look like he was whispering sweet nothings into your ear, but in fact he hissed: 'Now shut up or my mother will get suspicious.'
Frigga laughed as you put on the best fake smile you could muster.
'I'm sorry I forgot.'
'It's so sweet to watch you both. I'm happy for you two.'
'Yes, thank you, mother,' Loki said in a hurry. 'Excuse us now, she has to meet the Warriors three.'
'Of course. I'm sorry for keeping you-' Loki already pushed you towards the people next to Frigga before she could finish her sentence.
A beautiful woman with brown hair smiled at you.
'Hello, I'm Sif,' she introduced herself. You did the same and met the other two: Fandral and Volstagg.
'I'm surprised you picked a mortal,' Fandral scoffed. 'Something seems off.' He frowned in thought. Volstagg nodded.
'Yes, but we'll figure out what you're up to,' he threatened. Your eyes widened and looked at Loki helplessly.
'Why can't you just admit the fact that the throne is mine. Thor had his chance,' Loki hissed. He grabbed your shoulder and tucked you safely against his body.
You didn't really understood what just happened, but you figured you would just ask Loki later. Right now, you had more important business to focus on. For example getting a cupcake from the plate some of the servants carried around.
You licked your lips as a man walked up to you and offered you one. You took it gratefully and went to take a bite, but Loki snatched it from you.
'Hey! That's mine,' you whined. He grinned and just smelled at the cupcake before returning it to you. 'Thanks.'
'I was just making sure no one is trying to poison you,' he defended as he put his hand on your back. You raised a n eyebrow. You let your eyes fall on the little pastry in your hands and smiled. That was actually really kind of him.
'I'm glad you don't want me dead,' you muttered. He laughed, and it made you shiver.
'Who would carry my child if you were dead?' he asked rhetorically.
'Oh, I don't know, maybe one of these women?' you gestured towards the feasting crowd. He scoffed.
'Ay I remind you that I need an heir in less than a month?'
'So? Why can't someone else do it? I don't think I...' He cut you off.
'Midgardians are more fertile than us. You'll get pregnant sooner and that's better for me and my reputation.' You went a little pale. It seems like he was being serious about that heir. But... were you? Were you ready to be a mother? You gulped. It seemed pretty scary to be honest. And what if the child was born? Would he kick you out? Send you back to Midgard after all this? You bit your lip as those thoughts stung.
'What's wrong?' Loki asked softly.
'I- Nothing.' You just didn't expect you would have a child at this age. You were still so young.
'Good...' He seemed to study your face for awhile before looking back to the crowd. 'We should leave. Eat your cupcake. You'll need calories because it's going to be a long night.' He tilted his face to you with a smug smirk. You went pale.
'We are getting started... tonight? you squeaked. There was problem two: you had never done such a thing and you wondered if he knew.
'If we want you pregnant by the end of the month, then yes.' He winked at you and you blushed while keeping a firm gaze over Frigga, who waved at you.
