I hug her tight,
never letting go
Her shampoo under my nose,
so sweet,
just like her
I can feel her shake,
under my arms
I can feel a wetness on my shoulder
Her tears fall like waterfalls,
I couldn't stop them if I tried.
Her smile falters,
when I lose my grip on her,
only for a second,
before I grab at her wrist
as she tries to pull away
"Please..."
I gasp,
"Please don't go"
She cries,
I embrace her again.
I can't lose you,
Because if I do,
I'll have nothing left to lose,
and a man with nothing to lose,
is a man with no life left to live.
So please don't go,
this time it's my tears that fall,
and her heart that breaks at the noise.
I love her,
but her feelings complicate things,
She loves me,
at least that's what she keeps telling herself.
We've been together forever,
but forever is wavering.
The good times melt like ice cream,
and her tears burn even more.
They fall onto my shirt,
and sting more than any cut
Her heart is broken,
I know that much
All her friends are liars,
and her world's completely shattered.
My head is broken,
and so's her heart,
I can't fix her,
but she needs me to.
I can't be here forever,
She needs me
She needs me to,
Forever's such a long time,
to a man who's on the edge.
