Lee Felix, besides his traumatic past, was a normal cheerful bean. He was always happy, cheering up everyone around him, and giving off the most calmest and positive energy. And that was just how Felix was.
He was a regular at the Meraki Cafe, that wasn't so far from the local college he attended. It was a nice and cozy place in his opinion. It was always lively, full of chatter but not loud.
It was always like an ambience, back ground noise as he'd work on his school work. And everyone there was always so sweet to him, even when he'd sometimes stay there for hours on end a day.
Even when Jisung was with him, being loud and eccentric at times. Though it never seemed to bother a certain male, "Minho" it said on his name tag. Sometimes he'd catch them shamelessly flirting with each other, something he found amusing.
He had just left his book store after buying a new book for school. It was night time, and pouring down rain.
"You shouldn't be out here alone in the dark while it's raining, it's dangerous. Where's your umbrella?" A female voice spoke next to him.
He turned around startled and held his chest, relaxing when he saw a girl with long brown hair, about 5'2.
"I- I forgot to bring it in all honesty, but I live right by, so I'm not too concerned."
"Nonsense, let me walk you home, I have one," she sweetly smiled.
Felix turned and got a proper look at her. She was wearing glasses, her hair half up half down, her hair with highlights, her eyes dark brown. She wore a beautiful purple and white dress that went past her knees, and some black boots. She looked kind and innocent.
"If that's ok," he smiled softly, bowing to her.
"Of course it is silly! I'm the one that said it first~" she teased, opening the umbrella.
She held it over both of them as they started to walk to his home, Felix showing her where to go.
"What's your name?" She asked, a smile on her face.
"Ah! Felix, Lee Felix, and yours?" He asked.
"Felix? You must not be from Korea, or you are and your parents aren't. I'm Choi Hyerin by the way, it's nice to meet you." She spoke, her tone gentle.
"No, my mom and I moved here when I was little. She was from here, my dad and I from Australia." The blonde explained as he walked, frowning softly. "It's nice to meet you Hyerin, thank you for walking me home." He smiled sadly at her.
He didn't like remembering his parents, it just made him sad. His mom was 8 months pregnant when his father lasted away, a car crash, which evidently ended up the same day he was born. His mom was in the car, a drunk driver hit the drivers side. She was pushed into early labor, and fourteen hours before he was born, his dad was gone.
They moved to Korea when he was 5, he had no idea how to speak Korean, he was scared and new, he didn't like the new environment or being torn away from home. His mom had them move because she couldn't stand the memories of living there.
When he was 9, his mom was diagnosed with stage 4 Mesothelioma, and had less than a year too live. When he turned 10, she left everything to him, and ran away, back to Australia, where she passed away after two months.
He was alone in Korea, a place he still barely knew, with an uncle to look after him that really didn't care about him. He was extremely depressed, even suicidal, even if he was only 10 years old. The main thing on his mind was that he just wanted to be with his parents again.
Almost a year after her death, he met Han Jisung, his bestest and closest friend. He felt safe around the older, and quickly opened up to him. Jisung found it awesome how they were a day apart, often introducing Felix as his twin to people. And that's when Felix realized he still had family, he was still loved, even if they weren't his blood.
Jisungs parents helped Felix out a lot, often paying for food for him and school trips. He refused to leave his house where he lived alone, and they never pushed him. They always were there for him when he needed it.
When he heard Jisung come out gay and his parents loved him to death, he decided to come out as a non binary male to them. They pulled him into a tight hug and promised that nothing would change the fact that he was their son too.
Felix realized after meeting Jisung, he still had a family. But still, thinking about his parents, his birth parents, it hurt, badly. He was still healing from it all, his mom literally abandoning him.
When he turned of age, all his parents money went to him, and he immediately used it to get into college and pay rent and eat.
The blonde was so deep in thought, he didn't realize Hyerin had stopped walking. He felt rain hit him, and turned back at her confusingly, going to ask if she was okay.
He froze when his eyes met hers, a shiver going down his spine as he watched them change red. It was like they were almost glowing.
Fuck she's a ghoul.
She started laughing, tsking to herself as she closed the umbrella.
"You know Lixie, you shouldn't trust strangers, especially at night, even if they look innocent." She laughed, her tone becoming darker and more condescending. She said his nick name in a mocking tone, talking of her glasses.
Felix couldn't move, he was terrified, he knew exactly what was gonna happen. Her kagune came out, moving behind her, before launching itself at him. Seeing it come towards himself knocked him out of his trance. He tried to run, but it was too late.
It slammed him into a building, half way done with construction. He let out a blood curdling scream, feeling his back and shoulder snap like a twig.
He watched her walk over, and sit in his lap. He was breathing heavily as she tilted his chin up with two fingers.
"Something tells me you're gonna taste good," she spoke, licking her lips, before taking a bite out of his shoulder.
He screamed again, his eyes welling up, as he pulled away laughing.
"I was right! You taste so good!" She laughed out, before biting a chunk out again.
He screamed more as she continued to eat him, tears streaming down him face. He couldn't feel his legs, he was in so much pain, he knew he couldn't get away. He felt half numb too, the pain becoming so much he slowly stopped being able to feel.
He heard freaking noises from above him. When he looked up, through blurry eyes, he saw a pully full of metal poles swinging right above them. One side snapped, gaining Hyerin attention, before the second snapped, falling down on top of them.
Felix closed his eyes, accepting his fate. He knew either way he was gonna die, at least hopefully he'd go quick. He felt them hitting them both, hearing her scream, before he went unconscious.
