"Hey Felix! Mom said you could stay over tonight again if you'd like! She said she wants you to come to the trip with us!" Jisung yelled as he ran over to Felix.

"I- I don't know Sung-" "you're not a burden Lixie I promise, we really want you to come with us, please please please!"

Felix smiled fondly at the older, giving in and nodding. "Fine fine, I will," he whined, a fond smile dancing on his lips still.

Jisung yelped happily and tackled him into a hug.

"We're gonna have so much fun! We've gone to the mountains many times, it's so pretty there! I'll show you around, there's a lake there that's so so pretty and-"

Felix smiled and laid his head against his shoulder, closing his eyes. He took in the moment, listening to his words and excitement, whist also taking in his warmth.

Felix slowly opened his eyes, the room very bright, and a consistent beeping was heard. He couldn't open his eyes, even through his lids the light was too much.

Did I survive the attack?

He groaned to himself, his throat feeling dry and horse. He sat up a bit, feeling his legs move. 'Wait, didn't I break my back? I swear I couldn't move or feel my legs.' He thought to himself.

He slowly opened his eyes and looked down, his legs were indeed moving, his arm in a cast, more than likely from the shoulder break or any damage from the poles.

'Wait, that was real right?'

His heart started pounding, the beeping on the machine growing faster. Not long after two people walked in, both dressed in medical professional clothes. He was able to tell one was a doctor based on the coat, and figured the other one was a nurse.

"Welcome back Felix, we lost you a few times during surgery, but we managed to get you back, how are you feeling?" A tall man with glasses asked, 'Dr. Kim' written on his coat.

"Sleepy, gross, my throat is dry..." Felix mumbled as the nurse attended to him. "My body doesn't feel that bad though..."

"You've been healing very nicely, fast too. The girl you were with, she was dead on arrival. Your organs were crushed, and we ended up having to use some of hers, I'm sorry."

Felix turned pale. They put ghoul organs in me? He felt sick at that thought, looking down at his lap. "It's ok, I didn't even know her to be honest..."

The doctor hummed and nodded, watching the nurse.

"Your bills have already been paid, a boy named Jisung has been coming here every chance he gets, any time visiting hours are open. Your parents have come to visit you too, you've been out for two and a half days." The doctor spoke.

Of course Jisung was there, he's Jisung. He didn't comment on the fact that he called them his parents, because in a way they were. He processed what he just heard, nodding slowly.

The nurse gave him some water and a straw, as he was fast to drink it all. His throat felt better, and he relaxed.

"If you continue to heal as nicely as you are now we should be able to release you by tomorrow morning, with some medication of course." The doctor spoke, Felix nodding along. "Well then, I'll leave you alone now, if you need anything press the blue button on the controller connected to the bed."

Felix nodded again and looked at the controller, moving it over a bit. The doctor and the nurse left and he laid back down, closing his eyes. He was scared, he felt something was off, different.

Hyunjin wrapped his arms around Changbins torso from behind, pulling him close and burying his face in the smallers neck.

"I can't stop thinking about it Jinnie... Both Minho and I saw it, we saw her attack Felix, b- but we couldn't do anything... Someone was on top of the building and made a bunch of metal poles fall on top of them, I think they were trying to get Hyerin... Felix was still alive when the ambulance came, but I don't know if he survived past that..." Changbin mumbled and leaned into his boyfriend a bit.

Huunjin hummed and kissed his temple softly. "Jeongin goes to the same school as him correct? I'll have him check in with that one friend of his to see. You weren't kidding when you said he was your favorite human customer hmm?" He spoke, though he wasn't jealous.

He worked at the cafe sometimes when Felix was there, and he was an absolute sweetheart, always leaving tips for everyone working that day and making small talk with them, always cheering them up.

Whenever Changbin was having one of his bad days, talking to Felix always seemed to help him calm down. Hyunjin didn't mind, he was happy Changbin made a friend, but he was worried about Felix finding out what he was. He knew that's why they couldn't intervene in the attack. Because the only way to stop her was to show and use their ghoul form, and if Felix survived, he'd know what they were.

Changbin turned in his hold and kissed him softly, before resting his head against his chest. "That would be nice actually, thank you..."

Hyunjin smiled softly and picked him up, guiding him to their shared bed in one of the many rooms above the cafe. He gently laid him down and kissed him softly.

Changbin kissed back and wrapped his arms around him neck. Hyunjin smiled into it and pulled away, before cuddling him close.

"I'll text Jeongin tomorrow okay? Right now we both need to sleep, alright?" Hyunjin spoke softly, brushing changbins hair out of his face.

Changbin hummed and sat up, slowly taking off his sports bra. Whenever he wasn't wearing his binder, he was wearing a sports bra to compress his chest. He was luckily a very small size when he started binding, so using a sports bra wasn't that bad, it did help push that small amount that was there down a bit. Still, he didn't like it as much as he did his binder.

"My chest feels like it's getting bigger," he mumbled, a frown dancing on his lips.

He was on hormones, transitioning for almost two years. He chest was slowly shrinking a bit from the hormones, so it shouldnt feel like it was growing.

Hyunjin hummed and rubbed his back softly. "I'm sure it's nothing baby, maybe your body fighting the hormones and affects of it? You are a ghoul after all..."

Changbin couldn't disagree with that, his regeneration ability being really fast. It made taking hormones hard, he needed a higher dose to keep up with his body. It was annoying really, but at least his body did change.

Changbin laid back down on his side, facing away from Hyunjin, curling up a bit. The younger came in behind him and kissed his temple, spooning him. This was a pretty normal position for them to fall asleep in, he kept Changbins chest from touching Hyunjin, and the latter didn't mind.
