Chan was doing the dishes getting ready for opening. He had the news on in the background, when a peculiar story caught his attention.
"A few days ago, in this exact spot, a young boy was attacked by a binge eater, when parts of the building collapsed on them. The boy was rushed to the hospital, as the binge eater was dead on arrival. They used the binge eaters organs to replace his damaged ones, having no other choice. Yesterday we got word that it worked and he had woken up after two and a half days." The reporter said. "He will be released today. We don't know the victims name, but we do know he's a young college student that lives in this area."
Fuck. Chan almost dropped the dishes, he immediately knew who they were talking about. Felix. His heart fluttered a bit, relief washing over him when he knew he was alive. The relief was quickly replaced with worry though, ghoul organs they said? He never heard of that, but he knew nothing good could come from it.
He continued to wash dishes as he went deep in thought. He heard someone come down and caught their sent fast, it was his friend Minho.
"That kid Felix, he's alive, he's okay." Chan spoke, his voice showing relief. "If you see him around keep an eye on him, they did a transplant using Hyerins organs."
"They did what?!" Minho growled and looked at him. "They put ghoul organs in a human?! And he survived?!"
"Somehow yes, I don't know how and I don't know what it'll do to him, so please, if you see him around keep an eye on him."
Minho nodded and hummed staying silent, helping Chan prep for opening.

Jeongin made his way down the halls, his head hanging low a bit. He never really liked being noticed, he was content with being hidden.
He knew though what he was about to do wasn't gonna keep him hidden. He was gonna do what Hyunjin asked, he was gonna ask Jisung if Felix was okay. He was thinking over and over in his head how he was gonna lie and ask about Felix.
When he made his way to where he normally saw Felix and Jisung eating, he found Jisung eating alone on the roof on his phone, looking sad.
"J- Jisung?" Jeongin asked softly.
Jisung looked up and gave him a soft smile. "It's Jeongin right? What can I do for you?"
Jeongin looked shocked at the fact that Jisung seemed to know who he was. He got shy and sat next to him, smiling softly at him.
"I haven't seen Felix in a few days, is he okay?" Jeongin asked shyly. "It's not hard to notice he's gone, he always makes class fun and happy."
"Can't blame you there, he really is a ball of sunshine... as if he's okay, kinda, he was in an accident but he's alive and coming home today." Jisung explained and smiled softly at the younger. "He should be here within a few days, not as bright as he usually shines but here."
Jeongin looked at him and nodded.
"Don't worry, I won't tell him you asked, I can tell you're the anxious type," Jisung giggled and got up. "I have class now, I'll see you later, bye Yang Jeongin," he smiled.
Jeongin smiled softly back and waved as him as he left. He pulled his phone out and texted Hyunjin, letting him know Felix was okay. When he got a response from him, he put his phone away and went deep in thought, looking at the sky.

Felix sighed softly once they made it back to his small apartment. Jisung helped Felix bring his stuff in from the hospital.
He immediately went to his bed and flopped on it, snuggling into it before relaxing. Jisung laughed softly as he knew exactly what he was doing. Jisung placed all of Felixs stuff away and put his medicine on his bed side table before crawling into bed with him, cuddling him close.
"Everyone at school misses you, they keep telling me how dull classes are without you," Jisung spoke and let his head rest on his chest. Felix hummed and closed his eyes.
"Whenever you're ready, and you come back, I'll be here," he smiled.
Felix giggled softly and nodded, cuddling him, his body visibly relaxing. "Thank you Sungie."
"How are you feeling?"
"Honestly? Good, and that scared me, I shouldn't be feeling this good, I feel off too." Felix pouted and closed his eyes.
"Off how?" Jisung asked, his eyebrows furrowing.
"N- never mind, just different, but I did just have a bad accident, so it's okay." Felix spoke, giving him a reassuring smile.
Jisung let it go and hummed. "Nap Lix, you had a hard one."
"You sure?"
"Very."
Felix nodded and closed his eyes, the medicine from the hospital kicking in. He fell asleep pretty fast, clinging to his best friend.
—————
When Felix woke up, he found himself alone. He frowned softly and sat up. He saw a note on the bedside table, immediately recognizing Jisungs hand writing.
Hey Lixie, I'll be gone when you wake up, duh. I don't mean to abandon you, but I got classes. I got all your missing work waiting for you at your desk, and I'll bring home any missing works for today's classes as well. Make sure to take your medicine and eat alright? I love you Lix! -Jisung
Felix smiled softly and put the note down, before carefully getting out of bed. He took his medicines like he was supposed to, drinking water to get it all down.
He walked into the kitchen and got out some soup. He heated it up and waited for it. While he did, he looked around the room, it still felt the same, but also a tad bit different? Everything felt different to him, and he couldn't figure out why.
He got the soup out of the microwave and stirred it, before eating it. He turned pale and started gagging, before running to the bathroom and throwing it up. His eyes welled up as he gripped the toilet seat, he didn't understand.
