The next morning elsa woke up to a howling sound, it was still dark out, meaning it was around midnight to 5 am.
Elsa sat up, the wind outside the sound that woke her. Turning to make sure Jack was still asleep, which he was, she then got up out of the bed, her blanket falling around her.
She wrapped it tighter around her shoulders. She walked out the door as quietly as she could, maybe there would be running water again.
She walked down the stairs, they creaked and groaned as she stepped. Running a free hand through her slightly messy hair she inhaled and exhaled slowly before walking to the kitchen.
Opening the fridge she saw a gallon of expired milk, a carton of eggs, and some sliced ham. Elsa eagerly reached in and opened the package of ham to eat it.
"What else is in there?" Came a voice, elsa turned to see Jack leaning against the doorframe.
Elsa let out a small breath. "Milk, eggs and this," elsa lifted her hand that had the ham package in it, jack took it from her to get some too.
"Why'd you get up?" He asked. Elsa shrugged as she leaned against the island in the middle of the room.
"Couldn't sleep... you know I get insomnia when I'm stressed..." she replied. Jack nodded. Elsa sniffed a bit, tears filling her eyes.
"Hey... what's wrong?" Asked Jack before he walked over and pulled elsa into his arms, she broke down in a fit of tears.
"Rapunzles parents could be hurt or worse not to mention everyone else's parents and family.... and I dont even know where my dad is and I-..." elsa sobbed. Jack stroked her head, kissing the top of it.
"Everything will be okay. I promise it will all work out." He reassured her. "Hey didnt your mom sing you a song when you were little?" He asked. Elsa sniffed.
"Y-yeah... what about it?" Elsa asked in return. Jack stood straight and grabbed Elsa's hand gently. He led elsa back to their room and onto the bed, laying her head on his chest. Elsa sighed almost contentedly.
"Didnt you say that it used to calm you down when you felt depressed or stressed?" He asked again. Elsa nodded. "How did it go again?" He asked.
"Jack you really dont have to sing. I know you dont like to..." stated Elsa looking at Jack.
Jack looked back at her. Looking into her eyes he could see that some specks of blue looked like small snowflakes or how her eyes shone in the darkness and he could still see their piercing blue even in the dark.
"I want to. I dont want you to be stressed about this anymore elsa... you don't deserve that..." he explained. Elsa raised an eyebrow and looked at him.
"Why are you doing this?" Elsa asked.
"Doing what?" Jack asked as well, slightly confused. Elsa sighed and sat up from where she was.
"I mean.... why are you acting as if you care for me anymore.... we broke up what 4 years ago? You never talked to me or even looked at me after that... so why now?" Elsa explained. Jack stayed silent.
"I thought you moved on... so I didn't talk to you... and I couldn't bring myself to look at you..." whispered Jack.
"Do I look like I've moved on?" Elsa asked jack looked at her. "I've tried to move on, but nobody was you..." she finished.
The two sat in silence not saying a word for a few moments.
"Elsa... you have to understand.... when I broke up with you it was because I was bad for you and your family needed you...." Jack whispered. Elsa sighed.
"I understand that Jack.... But.... I needed you too...." she stated.
"I know.... I'm so sorry for what happened..." replied Jack. Elsa sighed and nodded before turning over, her back facing him.
Jack did the same and fell asleep quickly. However, it took elsa almost another hour to fall asleep again.
The upcoming morning the sun shone through the room, Elsa's eyes slowly opened. She stretched and groaned before standing and getting up to get ready for the day.
Around 3 hours later everyone was in the kitchen.
Rapunzel had a numb look to her face, almost resembling regret or sadness.
"Okay. Today we will be going to hiccup and merida's homes. I'm not sure what we'll find there but it should be fairly quick given how close their homes are to one another. Everyone have their weapons?" Asked Elsa. Everyone nodded. "Then let's head out" elsa finished.
The group then walked out the door. A zombie with long brown graying hair, grey and decomposed skin, and white lifeless eyes walked just beyond the yard. Everyone froze for a few moments. It was rapunzel's mother. Merida moved slightly before rapunzel spoke.
"I'll get it..." she muttered before walking towards it and smashing its head in with a frying pan.
The group looked at her in shock, rapunzel was one of the most innocent and happy out of all of them, and now, she was broken.
With tears in her eyes she waited for the group to catch up to her. They snapped out of their daze and started walking toward her.
When they got closer elsa could clearly see how rapunzel's eyes were glossed over from tears.
Elsa felt for her. Losing a mother is the most terrifying thing you could possibly witness, even if you didnt see exactly how it happened.
"Rapunzel... are you okay?" Asked anna almost at a whisper.
Rapunzel quickly wiped her eyes. "We should leave..." she muttered, walking away. Everyone followed after her uneasily.
Once again Elsa fell behind, walking slowly and looking at the ground as she went.
Jack looked back to see Elsa making her way slowly. He fell behind as well.
"The next house is gonna be different." He stated. Elsa looked at him.
"How can you be sure, Jack? Rapunzel's parents they-...." Elsa cut herself off. Jack put his arm around her shoulder hesitantly as they all walked on.
