The group carefully made their way through the neighborhood, seeing very few zombies along the way, but also very few humans. Elsa walked slower than the others, falling behind slightly as she looked down at her feet as she walked, her arms wrapped securely around her torso, some tears dried to her face after rolling down her cheeks.
"She's crying what do I do?" Jack asked anna for advice.
"Go comfort her." Anna suggested.
"How do I do that?" Asked Jack, some fear evident on his face.
"Start with hugs." Shrugged Anna.
"With what?" Jack looked back at anna who rolled her eyes and slightly shoved him toward elsa, mouthing the word 'go'
Jack managed to fall behind to walk with her. He bit his lip as he contemplated on what to say. He tried putting his arm around her but opted out, not sure on what would be appropriate for an ex boyfriend to do. He cleared his throat.
"Are you okay?" He asked, not sure on how to talk to her anymore.
"What do you mean?" Elsa responded as she looked up from the ground, and quickly wiped the dried tears off her face as she sniffed a bit.
"I just mean.... Today has been a mess..." he replied.
"That's an understatement..." muttered elsa. Jack chuckled. He bit his lip again. "Sooo... lace huh?" He asked referring to the accident that had happened earlier when everyone was getting ready.
"Not another word..." mumbled elsa as she seemingly held her arms tighter around her, she slightly smiled before stopping dead in her tracks, suddenly very alert, her small smile wiped off her face. "Did you hear that?" She asked trying to listen around her. The group stopped walking and listened as well. Soft footsteps and dragging could be heard.
"Run" both elsa and Jack spoke at the same time as they and their group took off ahead.
After running a few miles the group stoped to rest, everyone either sitting or leaning against a tree or lamp post.
"Dad's garage, shed thing should be just up ahead." Panted Anna as she stopped to sit on the curb. The group was near a small neighborhood that had community garages. Elsa sighed.
"We can rest her for a bit but then we need to get moving. I dunno about any of you, but I dont want to be here at night without any proper weapons." Muttered Elsa as she fanned herself with her hand.
"Why exactly does your dad have a shed full of weapons?" Asked hiccup as he looked at the girls with confusion.
"He liked old weapons from the reinisance and such. He was a collector I guess..." Replied Anna with a small shrug.
"I think that's pretty awesome if ye ask me." Replied merida with a small smile.
"But it's so... violent...." whispered Rapunzel.
"Punz... we're in a zombie apocalypse..." Jack explained. Rapunzel rolled her eyes.
"I know that. I just don't like how violent it's gonna get.... I mean... these creatures used to be people... some of them maybe even our friends... Maybe even our family members..." Rapunzel muttered. Everyone fell silent.
"Elsa.... what do you think happened to our parents? Like ours... and everyone else's...?" anna asked as tears started to well up in her eyes.
"I... uh...." elsa stuttered.
"You're the oldest. Besides Jack. But even then you're a year older.... You should know.... shouldn't you?" Asked Rapunzel. "Adults almost always know..." explained rapunzel again. Elsa bit her lip, tears now starting to well in her eyes as well.
"We uh... we should get going. It should be getting dark soon. We could spend the night in the garage and then get ready tomorrow. Everything will be fine." Elsa reassured everyone, forcing a small smile and putting her hand on Rapunzel's shoulder and her other hand cupping Anna's cheek as she started walking.
"Elsa.... where exactly are we going?" Asked hiccup.
"Well after we get weapons.... we're gonna find my dad. He's the head of the Arendelle corporation." Stated Elsa.
"Oh yeah! That's tha' big science company that came out with tha' computer! Isn't their mascot like a crocus flower?" Exclaimed merida with a smile.
"Yup! That's them! They also make a series of medicines, juices, foods, and other electronics. Anyway, you get the gist. If anyone knows what happened. It's our dad." Elsa explained. Everyone shrugged as they all started to walk again.
"About ten minutes later they arrive to a series of small garages.
"Now... which one was dad's?" Asked Anna as she put her finger to her chin.
"Wasn't it a birthday? Maybe... yours... june 21st which is... 621...." elsa looked through for a few minutes before calling everyone to garage number 621.
"Anyone her know how to pick a lock?" Asked anna. Elsa sighed and blushed as she raised her hand.
"Like Anna said earlier, before mom died, I knew how to do a lot of stuff..." shrugged elsa as she took a pin from her hair and started picking the lock.
10 seconds later there was a click and the lock popped open. Everyone gaped at elsa, everyone except for Jack.
"Aren' ye suprised frost?" Asked merida.
"Heh. No. I knew. She's the one who taught me..." jack explained, smiling at elsa, she smiled back before sliding the garage open, only to find it full of toys and stuffed animals. Everyone looked into the room, confused.
"Okay... maybe it's my birthday?" Stated elsa.
"Okay so... december 21st. 1221...." elsa bit her lip. "Whichwould be in the next building...." everyone groaned as they walked to the next building.
Minutes later the group found the garage, opening it to reveal boxes. Each member of the group looked inside one.
"This one's got knives..." stated anna.
"This one has axes, spears, and swords..." replied merida.
"We've got a boatload of guns and a few silencers for them." Stated Jack,as he stood next to Hiccup.
"This one has pans, cooking utensils, ooh. Some water..." stated rapunzel as she dug deeper into one of the boxes in the corner.
"Hey els! Looked over here! All out childhood things!" Anna exclaimed. Elsa walked over and smiled.
"Sir Jorgenbjorgen! He was a great listener..." elsa gasped as she picked up a small, old, stuffed penguin. Anna pulled out a purple scarf with beautiful embroidery.
"Mama's scarf!" Anna exclaimed. Elsa quietly gasped as she held one of the corners in her hands.
"I knew papa kept all this stuff I just... didn't know he kept it... here..." Elsa explained. Anna put a hand on her sister's shoulder. Elsa frowned.
"I'm sorry about this morning... when I practically yelled at you in front of everyone..." apologized Anna.
"Oh... Anna you know you don't have to apologize..." elsa stated.
"But I do... I shouldn't have said those things..." she stated Elsa smiled and hugged her sister.
When they pulled apart an inhumane moan echoed through the halls.
"Shut the garage. Not all the way. Lock it in place with something. I'll get the light." Elsa instructed as she clicked on the light in the garage, and the boys slid the garage door down, Jack clicked it in place. The group waited for the zombie to pass before talking again.
"We should be safe in here. We'll spend the night here and in the morning we should head out." Elsa explained. Everyone complied and found somewhere to lay. The next day was going to be fun.
