hi! Welcome to my first wattpad story Crying By The Lake. This is a fan-fiction love story between Scarlet Prime & Draco Malfoy. I will be publishing a couple chapters at a time incase you were wondering. This story is set in 4th year, and Draco also gets his dark mark in 4th year in my version. This story is sad, juicy, funny & a bit of a roller coaster honestly. I've also added in some additional characters but apart from that the storyline is the same as the original if that makes sense. let me know if you think I should post more & id love some feedback! I'll be putting songs to listen to as you read each chapter if you would like to listen while reading <3 enjoy!SCARLET'S P.O.V
The Primeblood lineage have been one of the most prominent families in the Wizardry World for centuries, creating our own unique bloodline, full of the most bold, daring & fearless souls. Generations of Gryffindors, descendants from Godric Gryffindor himself, including me, Scarlet Prime. My family has deep pockets and we're associates of the Ministry, some say we're "royal-blood". I spent my summer home with my parents and younger sister Keira at Cornwall Manor, before I finally return for 4th year. I'm now traveling on the train from London to Hogwarts, I've just about arrived, but I still have a couple hours left to go.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~the sun settles under the pines to sleep. The window I rest on grows foggier, just enough for me to draw a faded smiling face. I smile back at the face as it melts down the window. It slowly vanishes out of sight while I watch the raindrops race down the glass. My eyelids fall heavier and my vision blurs after each blink, The thudding train jumps over the tracks causing my head to bang against the window, I try to readjust but I get uncomfortable and sit up. "If you keep drifting off like this you'll be heading straight back to London." My sister Keira jokes. Her words make my eyes stop fluttering asleep. I can't stand these never ending train rides every summer. "She's right you know, I can already see the castle." Hermione adds. "Anything from the trolley dears?" says a croaking voice just beside me. A contemplative look stretches across Hermione's face. I drop my legs off my seat to the shaking floor to take a closer look at the trolley. I barely keep my balance as my dark brown curls fall in front of my shoulders. "I'll have a chocolate frog, please." I reply. The lady hands me the frog and turns to Hermione & Keira. "We're good, thank you." answers Keira with a weak smile. "speak for yourself, Ker" utters Hermione as she takes a sweet from the trolley. I unravel my chocolate frog, struggling to keep the damn thing from hopping away, I was slowly losing my grip. I was just about to dig in until I hear a distant voice down the corridor "A coffee, please"
Blaise Zabini, The bore I'm ashamed to call my Ex-boyfriend, I'd rather go blind than spend another minute with him. I peak my head just out of our compartment to take a look. Blaise and I lock eyes across the train for a brief moment. The urge to roll my eyes at him is way too tempting. He tries to look all smug as his hands float into his pockets, I can't stand him, not after he cheated on me with Pansy Parkinson. Pansy is the definition of a she-devil in the flesh. They honestly deserve each other. Since just the sight of him irritates me my eyes flash over to a tall figure lurking behind him with platinum hair. I squint eyes just a little to see his face. He rests his arm above him, leaning onto the overhead locker. He glances at me with his dark gray eyes, and my stomach flutters. Draco looks different this year, his clothes are darker, his skin is even more pale, and he looks even more charming. I don't even recognize him at first. I'm told to hate him & his family, and trust me, I don't exactly like him, but he is rather elegant. We still keep eye-contact while the trolly lady gathers Blaise's order. Draco clears his throat and glares out the window at the heavy rain. "Thanks." Blaise mutters and the two wander down the corridor back to their seats.
I adjust my collar and turn my head to Hermione, who already lifted her head from her newspaper. "He's so hot!" Hermione smirks. My eyes widen at her words. "What?" I blurt. "Finnic Donnelley of course." Hermione chuckles. I sigh in relief & sunk into my seat. "He broke some quidditch record and now he's all over the daily prophet, look!" Keira slumps over to take a look and tilts her head to read the paper "He's from Drumstang?" asks Keira. Hermione nods subtly. I grab the edge of the article and look at the moving picture, It's him on his broom waving at the crowd, From what I know, he's Drumstrang's golden boy. "He's transferring from Drumstang to Hogwarts this year?" I question. "look out, I bet all the girls will be head over heels for him by the end of the year." Keira exclaims. I relaxed back into my seat with an agreeing smile. I look into my backpack for the 3 books my parents had gave me this morning at Cornwall Manor before I left, I take them out and spread them out on my lap. 'The History Of Muggle Technology' sounds like a bore, 'Gilderoy Lockhart's Guide To Household Pests' is even worse. The last one sounds half interesting, It's one of my dads old spell books 'The Most Efficient Spells Invented By The Primes' It's just a like half-finished leather journal from what I can see, but I look inside anyway.
*2 HOURS LATER*
we gather our trunks from the overhead lockers and make our way to the exit. I silently yawn as I stumble out of the train, barely keeping my trunk behind me. Keira & Hermione follow me out. The hairs on the back of my neck spike up as the temperature grows colder. I take my gray raincoat out of my backpack and throw it over my shoulders like a blanket. "Finally some fresh air" I mutter. We start to walk down the terminal to get our names checked off by Professor Flitwick. "7 hours later." Hermione complains. I place my hand on my chest, searching for my necklace. My heart sinks a little when I seek nothing. I remember taking it off when Keira was braiding my hair before we got off, but I don't remember putting it back on. "Sorry! I forgot something back on the train, I'll meet you guys at the entrance." I stutter while I walk against the crowd. They nod in confusion.
I was almost at one of the train doors when someone grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the crowd. "Forgetting something, Primeblood." sneers Draco. I look up at him alarmed. He was wearing a fully black suit layered with a black coat. His icy hair was damp and stuck to his forehead. I attempt to snatch the gold necklace from his hand, and our fingers brush against one another, his hands were so cold it gave me slight chills. He towers over me with his other hand lazily in his pocket. I look down and clench my jaw. Just before I could grab it he pulls his hand up. His expression becomes brighter as he sees me struggle to even touch the necklace. He holds it at his eye-level and smirks. "give it here, Malfoy." I snapped. I lift myself onto the soles of my feet to finally grab the necklace. I walk off into the crowd, completely ignoring what just happened. "A thanks would be nice!" he shouts at me over the crowd, I don't reply. I hear the sarcastic tone in his voice. How did he even get it? I guess he must of seen it on his way out. How did he even know it was mine? Maybe he payed more attention to me than I thought.
