'The only way anyone will love you is if you just keep your mouth shut and do what you're told.'

'You have to be dependent of a man. Just accept it.'

'No man will love a woman who doesn't listen!'

Jade woke up covered in a cold sweat as she sat up breathing heavily. The smooth silk fabric under her fingertips freaked her out. Then it hit her. She was drowning. She placed her hand on her chest over her heart. She was expecting no heart beat, but she felt it beating. She was really confused at that point then felt her clothes. They weren't wet nor were they her clothes. She was wearing a white button up long sleeve, a black laced bra, and matching thong. She blushed deeply as her hands start to tremble a little in her own skin. She only remembers drowning. She didn't remember anyone being around to save her or swimming to shore since she doesn't know how to swim.

'Who changed me?....' She thought to herself as she felt around on the side of the bed to see if anyone was there. Soon she felt a broad shoulder. She tensed even more as a groan was heard coming from the person next to her. She bites her lip and at that moment had wished that she was able to see. The person's skin was soft and cold as if they were dead for hours. She slowly moved her hand away and tried to get out of the bed. The person next to her starts to open their eyes and look up at her. She felt them stirring and then a yawn was heard as she froze in place. She then scoots close to the edge of the bed without falling out of the bed as the person sat up and looks to her.

"You're awake...." The males voice sounding groggy.

Jade didn't know what to say or do. She nods her head as sat there quietly. She felt the mattress shifting a bit a he got out of bed then she heard him walking around the room. She listened carefully as a door opened and hangers shuffling as they were being moved. It seemed that the male was getting dressed from what she could hear. She was grateful at that moment that she was blind. He didn't seem to care if she was in the room let alone of she could see him or not. She took a deep breath then built up the courage to ask him if he had put her in the clothes she was wearing now.

"D-Did....Did you change my clothes?...." She asked as she pulled the blanket over her legs.

She was trying to cover herself up even though it was pointless especially if he did dress her. She bites her lip nervously as she was hoping he wasn't the one who had changed her. Then her mind starts to wonder about if he only changed her clothes or if he did more than that.

"Yes I did." He said blankly as he was getting dressed.

The scent of the room was different. She realized she wasn't back in her own room or even in the manor she called home. It smelt of mahogany and teakwood. The smell was very calming for her as she sat there. She didn't expect a scent like this to be in a room that belonged to a man. It was new and different for sure, but after everything she has been through she didn't bother to put too much thought into it. The sound of footsteps pulled her from her thoughts being they got closer and closer to her. Her chin was grabbed by the familiar large hand she felt before drowning. Her head was forcibly tilted up slight as she gripped the sheets tight.

"If you dare try to escape I will kill you and eat your soul." A deep velvety voice came from the male.

The voice she heard before from this being was altered, but this time it wasn't. She was curious to know why he allowed her to hear his real voice as she furrowed her eyebrows. She wanted to know why he saved her from drowning. She wanted to know why he brought her to wherever they are now. She had so many questions from him, but she was also scared to hear the answers he had for them. Then again curiosity did kill the cat.
