Niall took me to his favorite restaurant.

We sat down and he ordered the food for both of us.

“Are you sure we need that much food? There’s only two of us!” I asked because he ordered the massive amount of food that’s enough for me to survive two days!

“Oh! Miss you must be a new friend of Niall!” the waiter said. Niall didn’t say anything; he just looked at me and smiled.

“So, can you tell me something about your job?” He drinks the soup and asks.

“I started to work there at 16. Jaclyn, the owner of the store is being really nice to me all the time. She is an amazing woman.”

“But why did you choose to work in a book store?” he keeps pouring the soup into his mouth. He must be extremely hungry after the rehearsal.

“I have been hanging around there since I was younger. I actually spent more time there than my house!”

“Why does she call it the Missing Page?”

“Jaclyn always says that our life is like a book; but with some pages missing; and the reason why we’re living is to find those missing pages and complete that book.”

“Wow! That’s deep; she must be a wise woman!”

“Yes! She is.” I pointed at him with the fork in my hand. “You asked a lot of questions; it’s my turn now. Tell me something about your job. Being a celebrity must be very interesting, right?” I put some salad in my mouth and ask.

“Well, sometimes it’s not as much fun as you imagine…” he said. “Usually we have vocal rehearsals; signing or concerts. But there’s sometimes that we do performances for big shows like the VMA’s or the Teen Awards. Also we’ll do some fun shows for the fans, they like us when we’re acting weird!” he laughed and let his voice out.

“Like the Video Diaries?” I giggle.

“Yes! But the best part has got to be the touring! Seeing fans from all over the world is absolutely amazing!” he said with his mouth filled with food. I looked at the table and found that half of those foods are gone! Wow! I now understand why that waiter said I am a new friend. I had no idea he can stuff such a massive amount of food in his stomach.

“What about being mobbed or chase by crazy fans?” I laughed and asked.

“I used to think that this is the hardest part of this job, ‘cuz I can hardly have some personal time,” he swallowed the rest of the food in his mouth and said. “but then something amazing happened yesterday… and that wouldn’t be happening if I wasn’t mobbed by fans, so I think this is pretty cool.” His face started to get scarlet and so did mine.

“Well, what is that amazing thing? Niall?” I asked.

“You.” His cheeks looked really red like they are burnt. I turned my head down and drink the water. “About the missing page of life…what is your missing page?” he talks again to break the awkwardness.

“Well...family and love, I guess…” my nerve was touched and I felt alerted- I hate it when people remind me of my family. I can see that he’s looking at the bruise on my hand; I immediately cover them with my sleeves. A tear was streaming down my face. I can feel it; but I can’t stop it.

“I, I am sorry.” Niall handed me a piece of tissue.

“I am OK…I’m used to it…” I let the tear dry itself and fake a smile. “But talking to you; Niall,” I paused “I am really happy.” I look right in his eyes.
