London.

“The number you just dialed is busy at the moment, please try to call again.” The lifeless, electronic female voice said over the phone. I sighed, this is the third day I got back to London and Tori is still not answering my call and any of my messages. I wanted to visit her in the book store where she works and her house, but every day I am too busy and exhausted to do so.

Today is my day off, so I decided I am going to the book store to surprise her.

“Oh hey Niall!” Sky said happily as she saw me, “Tori is in the store room.” She smiled and told me what I was about to ask.

“Thanks” I nodded and said.

I pushed the door open quietly so I am not gonna scare her. I see her standing on the leader, tiding up the messy book shelves.

“Tori…” I said gently.

“Niall? What are you doing here?” she climbed down that leader and said; needles for me to say she’s shocked. But she’s not very glad to see me here. And that make me shocked.

“You are not happy to see me?” I asked.

“Niall I am very glad that you’re here…I mean, I missed you.” She then faked a very fake smile and get in my arms, but something is really wrong with her.

“What is wrong? You seem different…”

“Me? Oh nothing, I am just tired…you know, really tired.”

“Oh…” I sighed, the atmosphere is really awkward and I don’t even know why. “So why did you answer my call?”

She looks like she knew I’m gonna ask that and she’s making up her mind about how to explain.

“Well, about that…Niall, I’ve been thinking.”

“About what?”

“About you, about us.” She paused and took a deep breath, “Niall I know your fans don’t like me. And I know I am not going to deal with the pain brought by the hate. I am so different from your boys’ girlfriends. They’re strong and unbreakable; but I had too much history, I am a lightweight.”

I was completely shocked, I was here to give her a surprise and ask her out for a dinner like usual; I was planning to ask to be my girlfriend tonight; and this is what I get?

“What are you talking about?” my voice is shaking; my heart is waiting for her to tell me this is all just a joke.

“Even if I become your girlfriend; we’re not gonna last. When the day that we split comes, there will be two heartbroken people in the world.”

“But we can sort things out...we can deal with the hate…” as her eyes meet mine; tears started to build in them.

“No! Niall, you can deal with the hate, because you’re a star; this is part of your life. But I am different; I am just a normal girl who works in a normal store with my normal friends. I don’t want this change in my life.” She looked at the ground with her tears wetting her angel looking-like face. My heart is torn into pieces; I don’t her to cry like this.

“Please…Tori I swear I am a good change…”

“I DON’T WANT A CHANGE! GOOD OR NOT I DON’T WANT IT!” she yelled and put her hands in front of her chest to stop me from approaching her.

“Tori…my love…” I whispered as my voice is completely broken to speak.

“I am not your love, Niall. I am sorry.” She stepped back as I moved towards her, “I am a normal person; and a normal person is selfish. I’d rather to break your heart now than letting others break mine in the future. I am sorry I have to give up on your love; but being with you is getting so painful. ” She pushed me away and barged out of the store room. I then heard her telling Jaclyn that she needs a day off.
