"Oh? I think I was tagged?" You sigh as your eyes wander down. Crimson droplets speckle the wooden floor.

Ela shakes. "No...that's me this time, [Y/N]." You look up and see her. She's as white as a ghost.

12 hours earlier...

When you woke up. You were greeted by Marius. He was wearing his armor over his civilian clothing and had a gun with him. It looked like a (severely?) cut down version of the HK417. Short barrel, wire stock and an AGOG battle scope with all its glory. Everything else looked to be mil-spec though. You blinked and looked around. "When did we land?"

"Around 6," he tossed you a helmet while he opened his mouth to yawn. "It's 13 past now. It's time to gear up."

"Ash and Thermate are outside. They already dispatched Castle and Pulse to go to the AO. It sounds like they're taking Zofia for another operation to support ours."

You look at the helmet, rubbing your thumb over some of the patches with numbers. "Why didn't anyone wake me up?"

Jäger looked at you. "If you didn't wake up when the plane landed you probably need more rest than not."

Jäger then cleared his throat. "Bist du bereit zu gehen?" <<Are you ready to go?>>

"Uhm, yeah...?" You got up, feeling a little confused. You must've taken more stress than you realized.

When you stepped out you were immediately struck by the early sun. Everything was in a dull orange outside of the shade. MRAPs and federal vehicles were parked around the hangers. FBI agents dressed in suits and olive green uniforms walked, some armed, others not. Eventually, you and Jäger made to the hangers that had it's doors left just open enough for you to both pass.

On the other side you saw Zofia, Ash, Thermate, and about a dozen of others. You hadn't seen them before, so you figured these were the "regular" help.

"Sieht ernst aus..." <<Looks serious>> you mutter.

Jäger sighs and looks at you."Es kam noch schlimmer..." <<It got worse>>

Before you can ask for him to elaborate, Zofia calls everyone in. Standing beside her is an older gentleman wearing a suit. He takes off his blazer and says something to Zofia before placing it aside. You can see from here that he has his side arm and badge strapped to his belt. "Sie wird es erklären." <<She'll explain.>> Jäger walks towards the row of chairs and settles down with you. You do the same.

"Alright," the man starts, looking at everyone. His expression is dark - solemn to admit what he's about to say. "About an hour ago our comms were lost with the strike team occupying the terrorist stronghold."

The room is silent. Your mind spins as questions fill in. Shit...

"Their radio transmission was cut mid-check up. They had everything secured and the rooms had been thoroughly searched. To avoid further exposure, they sealed all the leaks." There's a pause. The man looks at Zofia and nods. "That was, however, just before we lost comms with them."

"Yes," Zofia cuts in. "We also lost visuals. The drones keeping watch have been disconnected with our network. Which has successfully cut us visually. We are now deaf and blind to the situation."

She gestures to the board, where you see a picture of two buildings. One of a compound with several buildings, with rural surroundings - it looks like a farm of some kind. The other is also a compound, but it's much less "farm-y" than the first image you stared at. "We are sending two teams out immediately. One will be dispatched to the original strike team, while the other is going to assault a suspected terrorist cell just a few miles away. This will prevent any kind of attack where we know there are chemical weapons."
