daddy's little girl,
scared and shy,
holds his hand
as they walk
side by side.
daddy's little girl,
ties her new shoes,
"look at me dad!"
he's proud of you.
daddy's little girl,
straightens her hair,
puts on her makeup,
cause everyone cares.
daddy's little girl,
screams and shouts
"look at me dad!
i need your help!"
daddy's little girl,
marks her skin,
with all the pain
she holds within.
daddy's little girl,
is lost in life
clinging to the thoughts
of pills and a knife.
daddy's little girl,
all grown up,
and daddy's gone
she's lost her hope.
