her lips are locked on yours
your arms around her waist
I try to look away
but my gaze is begging to stay.
I wish that I was her
the item of your choice
but I'm simply not enough
to please you and suffice.
you say you truly love her
but look at me the same,
confusing and uneasing
I'll never win the game.
I long to hold you closer,
and keep you in my grasp,
but everytime you linger
it will never last.
I tell myself the feeling is not one to stay,
but whenever I blink,
it just won't go away.
I see you in my dreams,
the apple of my eye,
but then when I wake up,
you always pass me by.
until one day I hope,
I'll be the one you want.
I hope to be the hand,
yours was meant to hold,
and be the girl you hug,
and never let me go.
