Lisa's POV
It's been a hell of a week for me since I and Jennie break up. I miss her so much but I can't just go to her and tell her that I just do that because I don't want her to be hurt more when I die on my operation.
"Mom already know that you will be not attending class for a month" Jisoo said as she enter our shared room
"Thank you very much Jichu I owe you a lot" I said
"It's nothing just don't die okay you are going to be my best man when I and Chaeyoung get married" Jisoo said while sitting beside me
"I will try Jisoo" I said
"Don't try to do it okay do it?" she said
"Alright I will do it" I said
"Lisa come on we are going to the hospital now" Mom shout from the outside
"Let's go, Lisa I will drop off you and your mother at the hospital" Jisoo said then she walks out of our room
"Is Minjunah babysitter is here now Mom?" I ask
"Yeah Sakura is here now" Mom said
"Nice too meet you Lisassi I'm Sakura" Sakura said then we shake hands
"Nice to meet you too Sakurassi" I said then I go to Jisoo's car
Jisoo drops off me and Mom at the hospital as she said she doesn't stay for long because she still has something to do.
"Sleep well Lisa tomorrow morning is your surgery so you need a lot of energy" Dr. Kim said
"I will Doc" I said
"You don't tell Jennie that you're going to undergo surgery that may cause your death that's why you break up with her am I right? Dr. Kim ask
"Wow yeah guess all of that Doc?" I ask
"Yeah but when your surgery becomes successful I want you to get back together with Jennie I I'm you to become my future daughter in law" Dr. Kim said
"Of course I will Doc it's my plan after all" I said
"That's good to hear Lisa good night have a nice sleep" Dr. Kim said then he go out of my room
"I will go back in the morning before your surgery Lisa tomorrow" Mom said
"Alright Mom have a safe trip" I said before my Mom go home for Minjun
The other day
"You can do it Lisa fighting go back alive okay" Moonbyul said
"I will" I said
"Be strong Lisa " Jisoo said
"Tell Jennie that I love her if I don't survive wow I finally said that I love her" I said to Jisoo and Moonbyul
"The surgery will be successful Lisa don't worry" Mom said before I enter the operation room.
The only people who know that I will undergo surgery today is my Mom, Jisoo, Moonbyul, Nancy, and Jisoo's Mom. Even my other friends don't know it because I keep it a secret from them.
The doctor injects me with general anesthesia that makes me sleepy. I slowly close my eyes and the darkness consume me.
When I woke up I find my self laying on Jennie's lap and I think im playing something on my phone.
"Thank you for always taking care of me Lisa you help me overcome my fear of dogs. I love you Lisa" she said but what is she saying helping her overcome her fear of dog as far I remember I don't see Jennie with a dog. But she said she loves me so it will be rude if I don't say I love you back
"I love you too Jennie" I said then I look at her eyes
"From now on I'm the one that will take care of you," Jennie said then kisses my forehead does she knows that I have an illness?
(If you guys read Death Bed before Painkiller especially Chapter 8: I Will Take Care of You you will notice that I use the same lines)
But everything disappears when I open my eyes I'm in a white room again. I look around and I find Mom and Minjun sleeping peacefully on the sofa while Jisoo is sleeping in the chair beside me.
"J-jisoo" I weakly said
She slowly opens her eyes then our eyes meet. Her facial expression looks priceless right now.
"Oh my Gosh Lisa you're finally awake" she happily said then she tried to hugs me but she stops
"I think it's not a great idea to hug you right now I will just tell the nurses that your awake" she said then she goes out to call the nurses
"My baby your finally awake" Mom said
"You're awake noona" Minjun said with his sleepy voice
"Sup Minjun" I said then me and Minjun first bump
"I'm so glad you're finally awake Lisa you are been sleeping for a whole week now" Dr. Kim said
"Wow a week already pass" I said
"Let me check on you and you can rest again" Dr. Kim said then he starts doing some tests on me
"The surgery went good but I still need to monitor you for 2 weeks then you can go home" he said
"Okay Doc thank you" I said
"Do what you promise me okay?" He said before he goes out
"What promise?" Jisoo ask
"That I and Jennie will be together again after my surgery" I said
"Ohh okay I will just call Moonbyul to tell the good news so excuse me for a second" Jisoo said then she goes out to call Moonbyul outside
Just wait for me Jennie I will come back now and I will surely say that I love you this time.
