The Pythia was in a dark cave filled with green mist. The cave smelled horrible. Like snake breath. Possibly because it was snake breath. Orphis heard about the stories when Python took up residence in the cave only to be killed by the god Apollo. Still, the cave still reeked of snake breath.
The priestess sat on a stool, and her eyes was closed. Silena whispered to Orphis, 'Go on. It's your prophecy.' she stepped back and Orphis sighed.
Orphis stepped forward, 'Hello, um what shall I do?'
It seemed stupid. Oliver shook his head and Henry, Wendy and Silena put their faces in their hands. The twins looked utterly bewildered. Aming fiddled and Toby whistled a random tune.
Orphis didn't expect it to reply, but to his surprise, the priestess opened her eyes and green mist emitted out of her mouth. She spoke:
'The child of Hades bestows the path,
Five to obtain the queen's lost crown.
Child of sky to fix the past,
the grudge of Hera must go down.''An oath to keep and a sacrifice,
Mischief save the day for once.
Wisdom's daughter rolls a dice,
to achieve the final stunt.'The mist died and the priestess smiled. 'Have a nice day.' and closed her eyes again.
Nobody knew what the prophecy meant but they could guess part of it. The child of Hades was obviously Oliver, the child of sky was Orphis, the son of Zeus, Mischief was Hermes, so that was Silena. Silena was plenty good at Mischief. Wisdoms daughter is Wendy and that left another person, but it was sort of obvious it was Henry because he was the other demigod.
But the sacrifice; what is the sacrifice and who would make it? A good question indeed. Nobody knew but the thing they knew was it was going to be bad.
Henry was sulking about not being mentioned in the prophecy and the non demigods accepted that they were not part of this quest, though they were a little bit disappointed. David seemed to be trying to lightning bolt a large rock. Wendy was busy trying to figure out how the prophecy meant by 'rolling a die'. She shouldn't take long. After all, she was the daughter of Athena, goddess of wisdom. That left Orphis and Silena.
'Well, thanks.' Orphis said, 'For suggesting to find Oliver. That was how we got there in the first place.'
Silena smiled, 'You are most welcome, though I do not like this place at all.' she shuddered, 'Can we go somewhere else now?'
'Yes but where to?' Orphis wondered.
'I don't know.' Silena frowned, 'Some Greek restaurant maybe? Some barbecue?'
'You're on!' Orphis grinned, and they set off to whatever Greek restaurant and eat some tasty stuff like barbecue.
I mean, the best thing to do after you hear a mind bending prophecy? You go eat some barbecue.
