Chapter 8

You're stood in the recording booth about to record the song.

"Ready?"

You nod. The song starts. You start singing. You take a few breaks. When you finish singing, the developer puts the song together and you go to school.

"Hey Lucy."

"Hey. There's some people at your locker."

You go inside and see a few kids.

"Hey Y/n." Zayn says.

"Hi? Why are you all at my locker?" You ask.

"I've heard you're now in the music industry." Liam says.

"So?" Lucy asks.

"We were wondering if you could put in a good word about us to Simon. We've been trying so hard to get seen." Harry says.

"Please Y/n." Louis says.

"This is the one and only thing we want." Niall says.

You and Lucy share a look.

"I'll see what i can do. But Simon is a busy man. It might take me a while."

"We'll gladly wait." Harry says.

"Thank you Y/n." They say.

You nod.

"You actually gunna do it?" Lucy asks.

"Might as well." You say.

During the day, you get a call from the editor saying the song is ready. He sends it through to you. Both you and Lucy listen to it.

"Holy fucking shit Y/n." Lucy says.

You laugh a little. Your phone buzzes. It's a notification saying you're in a new group chat on Instagram. You're in it with Lauren, Camila, Ally, Normani and Dinah.

"You're in a group chat with 5 of the most popular singers in the world?!"

"I am now." You say.

You quickly call your editor to say you're ready for it to go up. You make a post on your Instagram.

Ladies and gentlemen and all of my fans. My new song, Pillowtalk, is now up! Stream it on Spotify, Deezer wherever!

"I cant believe you're a singer Y/n!"

You laugh. You and Lucy have been best friends pretty much all your lives.

"That song we did in music, you should make it a song!" Lucy shouts.

"Okay but I'm putting you on the song." You say.

"I cant sing."

You start sniffing.

"The fuck?"

"I smell bulshit my friend." You say.

She laughs a little.

"Come on."

"Fine."

You smile.

"Not yet. I got to put more songs. Then i have another colab."

"You're already booked?"

"Yeah i guess so."

You two laugh. After school, you drop of Lucy at home and then go to the studio. You see Simon in a meeting with someone. He spots you and motions you to freeze. So you freeze. After the meeting, he motions you to come in.

"What's up?"

"The first two songs have been amazing. They're so good. I love them. Camila told me about the colab coming up."

"Yeah. I've still to send of the lyrics to her and once i have a few more songs out, I'll gladly colab with her." You say.

"Good. That's all i wanted. Off you go."

You stand up and leave. You go into your room and see someone sat on the floor.

"Uh.... who are you?"

They turn to you and stand up.

"I'm a friend of Lauren Jauregui's."

"You're Brad from The Vamps. Why are you here?"

"To warn you."

"About?"

"If you go near Lauren again, i will kill you. Understood."

"What? The fuck? Why?"

"Cos she's mine."

"I'm 16 you twat. Even if i wanted her i couldn't have her. It's illegal you half brain fucking moron." You say.

He shoves you into a wall and pins you there.

"I'm warning you kid. Stay away from her and her friends. I'll kill you if i find out you've gone near any of them, I'll have you killed." He threatens.

He walks out. You're terrified. You dont know enough about him to doubt that he'll do nothing. You dont wanna die. You sit at your desk and cry. Callie walks in.

"Hey. I brought food.... Y/n? What's wrong?"

She puts the food down and hugs you. You hug back and cry onto her shoulder.

"Why are you crying? You never cry." Callie says.

"I j-just got a d-death threat."

"The fuck? From who?" Callie asks.

"Brad from The Vamps."

"That no lip ugly cunt?"

You nod.

"I'll be right back." Callie says.

You nod again and Callie goes to Simon's office. Your phone buzzes. It's a message from Lauren. You become scared and dont answer it.

"She's not answered. She always answers." Lauren says.

"Maybe she's writing some songs Lo." Camila says.

"Maybe."

Simon walks into your room.

"Y/n i am so sorry that you had to go through that. If the security had known his intentions, they wouldnt have let him in." Simon says.

You nod.

"He's no longer allowed in here. If he tries to get in, security will throw him out." Simon says.

You nod again. Simon leaves.

"Try eating something Y/n." Callie says.

You and Callie eat and watch Netflix. Callie spends about 30 minutes gushing over your songs. Saying how proud her and mom are.

"Also, mom wants you to come home tomorrow night. She wants to see you."

"Okay. I'll go home tomorrow night."

Your phone buzzes again. You check it and see 5 new messages.

You and Lauren talk for a little while longer before you fall asleep. Lauren soon catches on and goes to sleep herself.
