The next day, you get to working on the music video for Pillowtalk. It's gunna be calm. Nothing crazy.
You start off in a bedroom. Alone. You sit up and start walking around. The video takes a good few hours to get through. You do get distracted a few times which is why it takes so long.
In the final shot, you're stood on your house roof. Because the next verse is in a little raised voice, you do it on the roof so people hear you.
Nearing the end, you lay down on the roof and finish the song like that.
"AND CUT!"
You stand up and dust yourself off.
"That was amazing Kid!"
You climb off the roof and watch the video. You nod.
"Amazing. Could we put that up on YouTube?" You ask.
"Yeah. Lets get your first music video up."
You smile and nod. The crew leaves and you go back inside.
"I dont like that you did that on the roof Y/n." Your mom says.
"Neither did the crew but i was safe." You say.
She nods. You, her and Callie spend the day watching movies together.
"I'm proud of you Y/n." Your mom says.
"Thank you."
"I mean I'm really proud. Not many 16 years olds are where you are."
You smile and hug your mom.
"I want in on that!" Callie shouts.
She flops on you both.
"You're a dork."
"I know."
Callie climbs off you both and sits next to you.
"You're 17 next week, what do you want for your birthday?"
"Nothing. I already have enough. And i mean nothing."
"One thing. I'll get you one thing." Your mom says.
"I'll also get you one thing." Callie says.
"There is this snake ring I've had eyes on for a while but it's like $50." You say.
"For a ring?" Callie asks.
You nod.
"I'll get you it." Your mom says.
"Damn it mom!" Callie says.
Your mom laughs.
"What?"
"I was gunna get her it. We both know how much of a pain she is to get things for her birthday." Callie says.
"That's why i claimed buying her the ring." Your mom says.
"You guys always like this?" You ask
"Yeah." They both admit.
"Wow."
You laugh. You got held back a year at school. That's why you're still in school. You're gunna drop out though.
"Oh hey, why dont we watch the video?" Callie asks.
"Yeah." Your mom says.
You three sit and watch the video. You get a phone call.
"Hello?"
"Hey. It's Dinah."
You go outside.
"Hey. What's up?" You ask.
"We just found out from Simon that you get threatened by Brad." Dinah says.
"Oh. Heh. Yeah. That."
"Are you okay? He said you were pretty shaken up by it."
"Shaken up is an understatement. I was fucking terrified. Never in my life have i received a death threat and I'm more than positive it wont be the last but i can handle it."
"If anything like that happens again, let me know and I'll give them a poly beatdown." Dinah says.
You laugh.
"Oh Dinah, before you go, can i talk to Camila quickly?"
"CAMILA!"
"Wow. Hearing? Who's she?" You say.
"Sarcastic much?"
"You haven't seen sarcastic yet my friend." You say.
"Hey." Camila says.
"Hey. When you free to come to the studio?" You ask.
"Best i can get is tomorrow."
"I'll see you tomorrow."
"Awesome." Camila says.
You end the call and go back inside. The next day, you and Camila are sat in your room sharing ideas.
"Señorita!" You say.
"Yes!" Camila says.
You and Camila burst into laughter. You two have a similar sense of humour.
"You're an awesome person to hang out with. This has been fun." Camila says.
"It really has." You say.
You two hug before she leaves.
