Chapter 18

Leon's POV:

Ffion had taken to the office and her tasks like a duck to water. Once she knew where everything was and had become accustomed to the jobs and her desk, she was away. Her first day started off a bit shaky. I think that was due to her nerves, that coupled with the falling out she had with Ev the night before. Neither one of them had spoken to either me or Ava about what had happened but it seemed like it was water under the bridge now.

Thinking back to that night, it was an absolute rollercoaster. The atmosphere and mood had drastically changed with the snap of our fingers. Whoever had called Ev had really turned the night on its head and had severely affected him. I couldn't help but wonder what on earth Ev had gotten himself involved with; I'd never seen Ev like that before and he had never taken that tone with me before either.

He had outright refused to tell me what was going on whenever I had asked him, so it was clearly something serious. We told each other everything. But if he wasn't willing to talk to me about this, then I wouldn't force it. He'd tell me when he's good and ready.

Seeing how Ava reacted just made my feelings deepen for her more. She was fiercely loyal to her friends and as angry as she was towards Ev for whatever he had done to make Ffion feel and act the way that she did, you could see the pain and hurt in Ava's eyes as she watched her best friend walk out of the flat. I loved that she could empathise with Ffion's feelings, despite not knowing the reasons behind them. It was probably a weird time for my feelings to further develop for Ava, but I couldn't help but love all sides of her and her personality.

When Ffion had left, Ava's pain and hurt turned to anger and I watched as those beautiful crystal orbs of hers turned as dark as an oceanic storm. I could do nothing but watch as her wrath slowly begin to engulf her. I wanted to touch her to try to calm her down, but in all honesty, I was a little apprehensive to.

Ev had spoken to her in such an icy tone and I was shocked to hear it. The last time he spoke this way, was when he found out his dad had cheated on his mum with some whore in the neighbouring town. That was a dark time for Ev, and I hope that whatever was eating him up doesn't send him back to that. Once he had left to go after Ffion, Ava was able to gain control of her emotions again and her eyes shifted back to their light breezy colour.

It was absolutely not the right time to be turned on by Ava, but I couldn't help it. She looked delicious from the back in her body hugging bodycon dress. Her hourglass curves flowed in and out perfectly, and her arse... God, her curves had me drooling. It was perfectly perky, and whenever she moved, even the slightest movement, you could see it wobble ever so slightly under her dress.

Thinking about her body was getting me hard, and that wasn't helped when I remembered the activities that had occurred once we were home from Ffion's. Quickly adjusting my now raging erection in my pants, I called for my visitor to enter.

A middle-aged man with jet black, slicked back hair waltzed into my office with an air of power and authority about him. His posture was exquisite. At six foot four, he stood tall, his shoulders squared, showcasing his true broad stature. Despite his intimidating look, he had strong grey eyes and a brilliantly kind smile that made his eyes crinkle at the side.
