#15 The Kiss

Rose wakes up and looks beside her, seeing Damian. She blushed, forgetting that she was staying with him at the manor. Damian wakes up abruptly, also blushing when he sees Rose. Damian was shirtless and wearing red shorts, while Rose was wearing a black tank top with orange shorts on. They both went back to sleep, Rose subconsciously snuggling closer to Damian.

Damian wakes up to the sound of a camera snapping, looking at Cass who was holding a camera. "You're going to regret that." Damian speaks clearly, but not too loud as to wake Rose. "You love her, don't you?." Cass giggles, Jason coming behind her and kissing her forehead. "Breakfast is ready, lovebirds!" Jason shouts, Damian jumping at him about halfway.

"Hey, Jason?" Damian asks, only him and Jason are in the gym right now. The local gym they are in closed years ago. Rumors say it was the owner being thrown in jail, but the truth is that the owner was poisoning the water. "Yeah, Red?" Jason replied, noticing how serious Damian was. Damian was usually not tense when he was around Jay, unless he was serious. "Please don't laugh. What is love?"

Damian never felt loved as a kid, and thus could never feel compassion for others. When Damian joined up with Jason, he started learning how to by watching Jay and Cass. "Well, it's hard to explain. It's also different for people like us. We just... we feel like the good we did is outweighed by the bad. That we aren't good enough for them. It's the feeling that you have when you notice that they stay with you. Through the good, bad, and the ugly." "Thanks."

Time skip cuz no

"Hey, Damian? You okay?" Rose asked, confused about where they were. They were at the top of Wayne Manor. "I, umm I uhhh." Damian stops muttering, then cups Rose's cheeks and kisses her. Rose is shocked, and by the looks of it, so was Damian. Rose melts into the kiss, returning the favor. They pull apart, both of them wearing blushes larger than their smiles. "I love you." Damian and Rose laugh at the young assassin's comment.

"Kinda obvious, but so do I." Rose says, turning when she hears a loud scream. Damian looks at the woman who screamed, and tells Rose "Please keep me from putting her six feet under." Rose nods. "What are you doing here?" Rose asks Barbra, who was in front of Stephanie. "We wanted to uhhh look at the crime rates up here so we could get anywhere if anything happens. You two?" Steph bites back, venom lacing her words. "You saw us. What do you think?" Damian replies, the sound of his voice the sound of a man trying to control his rage.

"God, it almost looked like he actually loves her." Steph jokes, Babs laughing with her. "But that's impossible. He's the Demon Spawn!" Babs shouts, obviously drunk. She gets on her phone and starts texting.

Babs cries, Steph comforting her.

"Damian, what do you want to watch?" Rose asks, the tv on and Damian holding her head on his lap. He starts playing with her hair, humming to himself. "Definitely not Twilight. What about you?" Damian replies, chuckling when Rose pauses her scrolling through the fire stick selection at Twilight. "I want to watch... Phantom Menace." Rose smiles, then giggles.
