His Good Luck Charm

Sleepover

Leo's POV

"Would you like to stay at our place for the night?" Lewis said to me with a smile. I looked to Mayu for confirmation, not wanting him to be uncomfortable with me staying at his house. Mayu simply nodded. 

"Sure, uhm, thank you for letting me stay" I said gratefully. "Come, I have some extra clothes you can borrow." Mayu said and starting walking down the hall, I wave bye to Lewis before following Mayu.

I gasped in amazement at Mayu's room, he had stars and constellations painted neatly on the walls and ceiling, his bed frame neatly carved wood, everything was organized. I look back to Mayu rummaging around his closet before popping out and handing me a shirt and some shorts.

"The bathroom is right across the hall" He pointed out the door, I said a quick thanks and walked into the direction of what I hope was the bathroom. There were so many doors I'm surprised Mayu doesnt get lost!

After starting up the shower I hop in and welcome the warmth the water brought me. I look to the metal basket that is hanging on the shower head and see bottles clearly labeled, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. 

I wish I could be this organized I said in my head as I grab the shampoo, squirting some of the contents into my hand and scrubbing it into my hair thoroughly. 

After I was done I dried myself off and put on the clothes I was given by Mayu. It was slightly bigger than me. Better than nothing. I walked out and went into Mayu's room but he was no where to be seen. I sat on his bed, waiting there, staring at the painted stars and his decor. 

The door creaked open and Mayu walked in with freshly dry and clean clothes. "Apologies, were you waiting long?" He said with slight concern. I shook my head no quickly.

"Haha no, besides I was just looking around your room for a bit, anyway where did you run off to?" As I said that I noticed a sleeping bag under his arm and a pillow. 

"I took a shower in my parents bathroom and went to grab you this" He gestures to the two items in his hands. He then sets his right next to his bed, the bed frame making the height difference.

Mayu then lays down on the sleeping bag.  "What are you doing?" I ask 

"Im gonna sleep?" He said to me almost questioningly

"Arent you gonna sleep in your actual bed???" I said frantically, I dont wanna kick this poor boy off his own bed! That would be so rude to him!

Mayu looked like he was contemplating something and then looked at me. "You are my guest, your priorities will come first before mine" 

What? Yeah, no. "Mayu I will take the sleeping bag, this is your home and I wont sleep unless you go back to your bed" I may be stubborn but its for the right reasons. 

Mayu sighed, "If thats what you wish" He got up and shuffled his way back into his own bed and covers and relaxed. I did not think he would give up so easily. I lie down and curl myself to sleep letting the darkness overcome my sleeping figure.

Mayu's POV

I woke up, blinking, as my eyes adjusted to the light. I swing my legs over to the side of my bed when I felt something brush against my foot. I quickly looked down and saw Leo sleeping soundly. "Oh right.." I mumble to myself, hoping to not wake the poor boy who I was about to step on. I tip toed my way over him and out the door to brush my teeth and wash my face to at least be more presentable. 

I grab my uniform and my bag, I went into my room to see Leo sitting up wiping his eyes. Good, I would feel kinda bad for waking him up, but even more bad if I made him late for school.

"Good morning.." Leo said groggily as he walked past me to get to the bathroom. "Morning." I replied before he shut the bathroom door. I made my way to the kitchen, my mother and father already working on their computers while eating bits and pieces of their breakfast.

For breakfast we had Fried eggs with Hazelnuts, Chanterelles, Green Garlic, and Blackberries. I started eating. I loved the food the chefs would make, it always would bring me warmth.

Leo soon joined me and my mother perked up from her computer screen. "How was your sleep boys?" She asked almost too cheerful. My father paid no mind at all and continued multitasking by eating and working.

"Oh! I slept great! Thank you for asking" Leo said happily. He sat across from me and was happily munching at the fried eggs.

"10 minutes until we leave master Mayu" Lewis said before going to grab the keys. Leo was already done with his plate and so was I. We went to go put on our shoes and my mother yelled from the dining hall, "Have a nice day at school."

"You too" Leo shouted back. there was an awkward silence before my mother said "A-alright then?" 

Leo seemed rather embarrassed at his outburst quickly putting on his shoes and lightly jogging to the car. I chuckled a little, covering my mouth with my hand to muffle my laughter. 

We got in the car and Lewis drove us all the way to school, Leo and I said our thanks and left.

Leo had a different homeroom than I in the morning so we went our separate ways. Zecke, Lin, and Dina had a slight glare when they looked at me. Zecke went up to me first, "where were you after the party?" He did not seem happy.

"I went home" I said promptly, "by yourself?" Dina asked with a raised brow.

"Well not by myself-" I was cut off when Lin suddenly yelled

"With who? Was it with some slut?" Lin's face was a bright red of anger and some stray tears.

"I was with one of my friends" I said, trying to calm her down. I honestly dont see the problem as to why it would upset them this much.

"Which one?" Dina said putting a comforting arm around Lin. Sigh, why does this matter?

"I was walking home with Leo" I said sighing in annoyance, Lin mumbled lowly but enough for us to hear her, "I guess thats fine.." she sniffled and the bell rang. I sat down propping my head up with one arm, already feeling annoyed on how the day started.
