I gasped, looking at his figure. He seemed busy reading who-knows-what, while I'm sitting here in silence. How much work does he have to enjoy every little break to read?

"Didn't you hear me, Miss Brown?"- Mr. Storm raised an eyebrow, still leaning over his desk without even offer me a look.

Quickly, I took a step forward and did what Mr. Storm had asked me to do. However, even after sitting, he didn't gave me a bit of his attention.

"Mr. Storm?"- he didn't move.- "Mr. Storm?"- I repeated in a more serious tone, but remained unanswered.- "Mr. Storm. Could you please provide me your lovely presence on Earth?"- I leaned forward.

"Miss Brown, what can I do for you?"- he raised his head, and I could tell he was fighting with a smile.

"Can I go?"- I asked, sighing, disturbed by the presence of his eyes on me.

"No."- my professor responded immediately, lowering his head once again.

"Why?"- my facial lines hardened.

"Because I said so."- I couldn't help the laughter that came out of my mouth with his answer. He can't be serious.

Mr. Storm looked up, now without any sign of emotion on his face. I coughed, trying to sneak myself in the environment, and let him take his eyes again to his desk, but this time he froze.

I tried to return the look that he was giving me, but I couldn't. I found myself obliged to look down to my hands, lying in my lap, waiting for I-don't-know-what.

"Can I go now?"- I asked one more time, still with my concentration stuck in my hands.

"No."- his voice softened. I raised my head and he lowered his immediately.

"What am I doing here?"- I tilted my head to the side.

"I-" -he was interrupted.

"I- I have to-"

"Yeah."

I sighed and lowered my hand, taking my bag that was leaning against one of the chair legs, and lifted it onto my lap. After a few seconds searching through it, I found my phone, and answered the call without even see who was calling me.

"Yes?"- I lowered the volume of my voice, feeling the presence of Mr. Storm.

"Where are you?"- she inquired instantly.

"I told you, just give me 20 minutes."

"I already gave you, come on, I have things to do, people to meet, places to be."- I could imagine her rolling her eyes.

"Okay."- I swallowed and hung up.- "I am sorry professor, but I really have to go."- I said, standing up.

Technically, he has no power to tell me whether I can leave or not, but he can destroy my grades. For a professor, he doesn't have any professionalism. He seems to let his feelings pass ahead of what he should do. And by that, I mean that just because I'm annoying -he must think I am, but I'm not-, he can't leave me in the dark and force me to sit in his office in silence for who-knows-how-much-time as a strange punishment. He's stupid. That's what he is.

"Go then."- Mr. Storm sighed.

I took a step back and turned my back to him. I put my hand on the doorknob and I couldn't help biting my lip, wondering whether to satisfy my curiosity or not. A discreet and humorous smile came to my face as I remembered the nonsense places and trouble I got myself into just to know and control everything around me.
