Alexander's pov

Today is the happiest day of my life because, after 14 years, I finally saw my two little princesses again. But when Lila said they don’t have brothers, my heart ached. I don’t blame them, though. They were so young when Mom and Dad got divorced.

“Kelvin and Lila, please go outside. I have something to discuss with Mr. King,” Angelina said. Now, you might wonder how I know who is Angelina and who is Lila. It’s simple—Angelina has dark blue eyes just like our dad, while Lila and our other brothers have brown eyes like our mother. As soon as Lina spoke, they both left the office. Now, it was just me and my princess alone in the office.

I really wanted to hug my Angel, but I restrained myself. I didn’t want to scare her. I’m the only one who calls her Angel—she doesn’t like it when anyone else uses that nickname. “Hi, Angel. I’m your oldest brother, Alexander King,” I introduced myself. But after hearing her reply, I was shocked. She said, “Hi, Capo. I’m very much aware of who you are, and please don’t call me Angel—only my older brother has the right to call me by that nickname.”

“How do you know that?” I asked in an emotionless and cold voice. She hid her smirk and said, “That’s for me to know and you to find out.”

“Does Lila also know that we’re in the Mafia?” I questioned her. “No, Lila doesn’t know, and she hates violence, so please don’t tell her,” she replied coldly.

“Now listen here, Alexander. In one year and six months, I’ll be turning 18, and on that day, I’m moving out of your house. I know Lila is happy because she’s always wanted a brother, and now she gets five instead of one. But I’m coming with you only because of her,” she said in the most emotionless voice I had ever heard. I looked at her blank face; her eyes were cold.

“What happened to my Angel?” I asked in a soft voice.

“She died when she was separated from her so-called family at the age of three, and her 'Bubba' didn’t do anything,” she said, and at that moment, my heart broke. She remembers. She remembers everything. She remembers her nickname for me. She’s the only person who calls me Bubba.

“Now follow me; there are some things I want from my locker, and lastly, I want to meet my friends,” she said and then walked out of the office. After taking their things from the locker, we headed to their classroom. Angel entered the room and called out the names of their friends, and immediately, two boys and one girl came out of the classroom. Up until now, Lila had been in shock and hadn’t said a word to me. I understood that she was shy and didn’t remember us.

Angel started explaining everything to them. When she mentioned that I was her older brother, one boy instantly glared at me. That same boy stepped forward and hugged my Angel. She returned the hug tightly, and my jaw clenched.

“Big bro, I don’t want to go with them. I don’t want to leave you, but I also can’t leave Lila alone with them. I love you so much,” she said. Who is he, and why does Angel call him ‘Big Bro’? I’m her older brother.

“Shhhh, Angel. Don’t worry. I’m always with you. We can always FaceTime, call, and text each other. I love you, Baby Girl. I love you so much. Always remember that,” he said in a soothing voice. I couldn’t help but feel jealous that he could call her Angel and hug her, but I couldn’t.

After that, both girls said goodbye to their friends. As we entered the parking lot, Angel immediately went towards a bike, and my jaw dropped.

“Alexander, close your mouth,” Angel said, smirking. I immediately closed my mouth and followed their bike to their house. After they finished packing, we went to the airport.
