Angelina's POV
" Aww, she looks like a baby," one voice said.
"She looks so adorable and cute," another voice added.
I opened my eyes and glared at them.
"Baby girl, we’re going shopping in an hour, so please go get ready," Adam said, smiling.
"First of all, don’t call me 'baby girl'—I'm not a baby. And second, I don’t want to go shopping," I replied coldly.
"No, this is Xander's order. We need to get your school supplies, clothes, and other necessities," he said, then left my room.
I knew I didn’t have a choice, so I got up and started getting ready.
I know my brothers were just kids when our parents separated, but they didn’t make any effort to find us. After 14 years, they suddenly show up. If Aaron hadn’t died, they probably wouldn’t have contacted us at all. We're just a burden to them; they don’t really want us. They’re in the Italian Mafia—they could’ve found anyone if they wanted to, but they didn’t. That’s why I hate them. I only have one brother, and that’s Avery. I don’t need any of them.
They love Lila, and I know they’ll protect her. I can see it in their eyes. After how I acted today, I know they don’t want me. Their disappointment was clear. I’m not the bubbly, lovely girl I used to be; she died when I was separated from my family, and Aaron broke me completely. Now, I’m just a broken girl that no one can fix.
Once I was ready, I went downstairs and saw everyone chatting. Lila had a big smile on her face, and seeing her happy confirmed that my decision was right—my brothers will love her. Sometimes, I feel jealous, but I’m happy for my twin. When they heard my footsteps, everyone stopped and looked at me. I just glared back, muttered a small "good morning," and sat opposite Xander.
After breakfast, we headed out for shopping. We took two cars—Lila, Xavier, and John rode in the first car, while I was stuck with James and Adam in the second. James connected his phone to the speaker, and a song started playing: "Love You" by Rosa King. For those who don’t know, Rosa King is actually me. I chose that name because my father always called me Rosa. I know you might wonder why I don’t hate him—it's because I’ve always been a daddy’s girl. He died six years ago from a heart attack.
"You like this song?" I couldn’t help but ask James.
"I love it. Rosa is my favorite singer," he replied immediately. I couldn’t help but smile, happy to know that I’m his favorite singer.
After half an hour, we arrived at the mall. Honestly, I didn’t need any clothes—I’m the CEO of Rosa Fashion Company. I started the company two years ago, and now it’s one of the top names in the fashion world. Only my employees and Avery know that.
After three hours of shopping and arguing, Lila and I went to the restroom. Lila went first, and then I followed. After finishing, I stepped outside and saw an old creep harassing my sister. Everything went red. I beat the man to a pulp, then asked Lila, "Are you alright?"
She responded with a simple nod.
