Angelina's POV
It's been three months since I left my brother's mansion, and honestly, these have been the best three months of my life. After running away, I went straight to London, but I needed a break from everything. Avery suggested a vacation, so I’ve spent the last three months in Hawaii—a place I've always wanted to visit. Despite the distance, I've been working remotely; being the CEO of a billion-dollar company is never easy. Avery has been handling all the meetings while I've been here. He’s the only one who knows where I am, and I made him promise not to tell anyone.
I know that every day, Xander calls him to ask about me. It melts my heart to know that my big brother still cares, but I can't forgive him easily. He was my everything—my older brother, my father, and my mother—but when he didn't fight for us, my heart broke. I miss my twin so much, but Avery told me she's happy, and that’s what matters most. Everything I've done has been to protect her. I may not show my emotions much, but I love my siblings deeply. You might wonder how I can love them after everything, but I can't help it—I can't hate them, no matter how much I wish I could.
Tomorrow is my company's second anniversary, and it’s also the day I reveal my true identity to the business world and my fans. (In case you’ve forgotten, I'm also a singer known as 'Rosa King'—the name I use for my company.) It was Avery's idea; he said it would help the business. My company is already at the top in England, but I want to reach the top globally. So maybe by mingling with other businessmen, I can achieve that goal. Avery took care of all the event planning. "You’re the star of this event, so focus only on looking gorgeous. I want my baby sis to shine," he told me. I can't help but feel excited about tomorrow.
Third Person POV (King's Mansion)
Three months have passed since their princess left, and all her brothers can feel is guilt. They want their little sister back but feel powerless to bring her home. The only comfort they have is knowing she’s safe. They’ve tried countless times to get Avery to reveal her whereabouts, but every time he responds with, "When she’s ready, she’ll meet you."
Lila misses her twin but is happier here than ever. Her brothers treat her like a princess, and everyone loves her. She’s now the captain of the cheerleading team and the most popular girl in school, thanks to being a King. She loves the attention, and while she’s not a saint, she’s not a villain either.
Alexander is consumed with anger at himself. He buries himself in work to cope. James and the rest of the brothers hate themselves for what they did to their little princess. They’ve showered all their love on Lila and spoiled her, but they’re desperately waiting for the day Angelina comes home. Avery has promised they’ll see her soon, and they’re clinging to that hope.
"Guys, we’re invited to the second anniversary of Rosa Corporation tomorrow, and we’re all going," Alexander announced at the dinner table. "Yes! I’m really excited to meet Rosa King," James replied, surprisingly enthusiastic. His brothers were shocked; he never shows much emotion. "Oh, does little James have a crush?" Adam teased, and the table erupted in laughter. Xander watched his siblings in amusement. "I’m not the only one with a crush on her. Even though no one has seen her face, every guy is crazy about her," James replied arrogantly.
"Alright, that’s enough. Go to your rooms and don’t forget about tomorrow’s event. Be ready by 4 PM," Xander instructed, and everyone headed to their rooms. "Where are you, Angel? Please come back. I miss you, baby girl," Xander whispered to himself before drifting off to sleep.
