1. What are the meanings of their names?

Kikuchi Hina (菊池陽菜)
Kikuchi (surname) : "Kiku"meaning chrysanthemum, and "chi" meaning "pond"
Hina (name) : "Hi" meaning sun, and "na" meaning "vegetable"

Sano Ichika (佐野一花)
Sano (surname) : "Sa" means "assistance" and "no" means "field"
Ichika (name) : "Ichi" meaning "one" and "ka" meaning "flower"

Hachi (八)
"Hachi" means the number "eight"

*Hina and Ichika's names both contain floral elements to fit with the flower themed names of the butterfly mansion girls

Hina : Zōni (soup containing mochi rice cakes along with various vegetables and often chicken. It is usually eaten at New Years Day)

Ichika: Hiyayakko (chilled tofu with garnish like chopped green onion, dried tuna flakes and soy sauce)

Hachi : chestnuts (especially when they are roasted in the winter)

4. What are they scared of?

Hina : confined spaces

Ichika : Shinobu's ghost stories

Hachi : large dogs

5. Chizuko's pet foxes
There was a fox reserve in the village Chizuko was born in. Chizuko visited the reserve daily, she named the three foxes closets to her Kinoko (mushroom), Nori (seaweed) , and Momo (peach).
