Things were unfortunately never set in stone, contrary to what people wanted you to believe.

It was the thought that crossed Gun's gloomy mind as he watched helplessly as his former lover grew closer and closer to the guy he hated most on Earth. Gun's loneliness crushed him and his sense of abandonment choked his breath a little more every moment.

Perth's attempts to keep Peam away from Mark faded. But after all, the young, busy actor had other things to do than waste his time meddling in affairs that didn't concern him. And this despite all his good will and his unquestionable concern for his friends. Especially since Peam was particularly determined to transmit his affection to his elder. It was only a matter of time before he won his case. Never mind that it fuels Gun's distress and jealousy.

But if he was to be honest, even though Gun appreciated the gesture, he had hoped Perth would stop getting too involved in this story. It was futile and unnecessary. And he didn't want the young actor to find himself in the middle of an immature war. No, it was better to let it go.

And after all, Gun hadn't shied away from his intention to stay away from Mark Siwat.

But no one had said it would be easy. Nor that an oppressive feeling would mercilessly crush his chest.

Sitting on a chair on the villa terrace, Gun unwittingly spied on Peam, who was chatting amiably with Mark. His face was radiant. His cheeks were slightly tinted red, signaling his embarrassment. And he seemed particularly happy. Gun understood that something had just happened which delighted the young actor but which would not fail to displease him greatly.

Confused, Gun let go of the heartbreaking spectacle and chose to dive back into reading the last scenes that were to finally close the filming of the endless season 2 of The Stranded. This ending was remarkably sinister. Just like the mood of the actor.

But it also marked his upcoming return to Bangkok and this prospect relieved him to the highest point. His manager had phoned a few days earlier to provide an update on his future schedule upon his return. He had probably done the same with Perth. Many projects had been set up for their group, Tempt. Gun was looking forward to the overload of work that would certainly allow him to stay focused and continue to move forward without taking the time to mull over the failure of his romantic life. The impatience to resume concerts and recordings quarreled within him with worry and doubt. He was anticipating the move of his former lover. And frankly, he was considering asking Perth for help so that the two boys didn't have to be alone in the same room too long. He didn't want to suffer. And the thought saddened him deeply.

Since their first meeting, Gun had always adored his junior. He admired his talent, his presence, his charisma... Mark had adorable and endearing sides that warmed his heart. Sometimes his charisma made him cool and attractive. He had a touching sulky side. And even after what had happened, the actor continued to have esteem for the person that was Mark Siwat.

That's why the disappointment was so great...

But whatever happens, the past is the past. And it is impossible to change it.

For the past few nights, nightmares had haunted Gun's nights and forced him to turn and turn in his bed until he rose with his heart on the edge of his lips and tears in his eyes. Nightmares featuring their breakup, Mark's betrayal and Peam's smug gaze as he took his former lover away from him accusing HIM of thousands of evils. Several times, Gun had woken up with a start and ended up silently letting his tears of fear and rage run down his cheeks as he brooded over the past.
