The passing of time did nothing to improve the brooding mood of the young actor with the ebony hair. Nor this umpteenth sunny day that had as much flavor as bread without salt or flour. Nor the stifling heat that invaded the island and oppressed the air. And even less the festive animation of the inhabitants of the island who laze lightly in the streets of the village.
Nevertheless the panorama offered by the sublime sight of the place where he was. Slightly high up on an uphill hill that overlooked the sparkling ocean. The breeze was pleasant and formed nice waves that gently swept over the reefs in a lovely melody. An ideal time to stroll and be happy.
But for some, this was not the time for fun.
Despite Mark's desire to be idle and alone in his moping room, today Peam had still managed to persuade his older to join him for a private lunch in town. A sort of getaway during their day off.
Taking matters into his own hands, the young actor had led his elder to a place he had spotted a few days earlier during one of his visits to the village. He had reserved a table in a small typical restaurant on the island, which the villagers had praised him for. The setting was particularly romantic because it offered a breathtaking panorama of the ocean. The sun was reflected on the water and sparkled with a thousand fire. The open view offered a feeling of freedom and pleasant lightness.
The restaurent was a charming little building that didn't look like much, whose menu featured a list of fresh local products that were particularly popular with locals. In this way he hoped to get a smile on the face of his elder and to change his mind.
During the date, Peam had strived to be jovial, patient, and smiled in delight while trying to be pleasant and entertain the older one.
Unfortunately, despite all the best efforts in the world and all the best will he could have, he hadn't managed to get Mark's attention.
The dark-haired actor stared thoughtfully at his plate of tasty food that he would have enjoyed eating under other circumstances.
Accompanied by another person...
There his face was closed, brooding and distant. His thoughts were systematically focused on the mistakes he had made and what had led him there. Part of him was dying. He felt it. He couldn't do anything. Worse, he didn't want to do anything. And the possibility that time will fix things and soften the pain in his heart, soften the shame, unbearable the boy to the max. The culprits have no right to redemption, he thought harshly. Their punishment is to carry the weight of their guilt to the grave. If Gun could feel better seeing him so miserable, maybe he himself would feel a little better...
"I love you, Mark," Peam's voice suddenly said, abruptly bringing the swarthy back to reality.
Not sure he understood correctly, Mark looked up hesitantly and puzzled at the boy in front of him. Peam's cheeks had taken on a slightly red hue and his gaze was on him with a serious expression. Sincere. Confident. And determined to the point that Mark felt uncomfortable.
"I really love you very much" Peam repeated to make sure his opposite understood what he had just said.
